Our family recently visited 20 acres and had a fantastic time. We were having a belated Christmas with extended family and this was the perfect spot. Half of us enjoyed skiing at Schweitzer (only 25 minutes away) and the others enjoyed wandering the snowy property or walking around Sandpoint. Each night we enjoyed meals around the dining table and stayed up late enjoying the cozy fire in the woodstove. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed. The beds were comfy. The shelves were full of books and games for all ages. They even had a basket of balls and dog toys for our dog to enjoy. The owners were very helpful and reservations and payment was seamless. We hope to return to 20 acres very soon. Thanks!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: Dear Amy - Thank you again for choosing 20 Acre Woods for your belated Christmas celebration. Your comfort, play, and relaxation are important to us and a joy to know Kova (furry family member) enjoyed her stay as well. Warmest Regards, Tim and Tracy

Our stay at 20 Acre Woods was part of a family celebration. What a place to celebrate! We had enjoyed some of the many wonderful community activities in the area during the day and were looking forward to a nice place to rest our heads. 20 Acre Woods did not disappoint. Beginning with the beautiful drive to the property that simply removes one from the world 'out there' (even though it is just right there to jump back into), to family game time around the table, to a peaceful night of sleep, to enjoying the breaking day scenery from the porch swing, our stay found us embraced in the comforts of a home away from home. Our children enjoyed the house and the yard, one even exclaiming, 'I want to live here, Mom!' Hard to argue with that, as one swings sweetly in the hammock with birds singing and mountain vistas all around!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: Dear Celebration Family - Thank you for the wonderful review and comments. We too believe 20 Acre Woods is just a skip into the woods and just a skip back out into the world. Our home is 'built' for families and do hope to have you back. Warm Regards, Tim and Tracy

We stayed in this delightful home for an extended weekend of skiing and found it superb. After a day in the snow this home is well furnished, warm and cozy. The opportunity for sledding and the open space created more opportunity for our kids to burn off more energy. We also enjoyed couple time at night with head-lamps and a snow shoe from the house. Just as the owners state the opportunity to play in the snow and make your own tracks is spot on! The wood stove is cozy and a treat to warm up to. The kitchen is awesome and well appointed for use. This home is clean and the owners are quick to respond to questions and changes. The Sandpoint area is beautiful. Can't ask for a better getaway.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: Dear Family Snow Trip - Thank you for staying at our home and your review. We hope to see you again for your family getaway. Warm Regards, Tim and Tracy

Owner info
About the owner: We are the Worley family! Jill, Tim, Tracy, and Kimber. The photo of us is at Myrtle Falls near Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Any activity outdoors makes our hearts sing with delight. Hiking, running, golfing, camping, skiing (down hill and cross), snow shoeing, traveling, gardening, and border collie antics. 20 Acre Woods has brought and continues to bring joy and blessings to our life. Our vocations take us away from North Idaho. 20 Acre Woods offers a wonderful retreat for couples and families. We thought of ways of how to share 20 Acre Woods and VRBO is a natural fit for us to give others the warmth of 20 Acre Woods. 20 Acre Woods is the name of our property. When we found the property in 2007 the feel, smell, and look reminded us of what 100 Acre Woods may be like in Christopher Robbins world. We have stayed in other owners VRBO and has always been an excellent experience. Cheers to new adventures and hope we can offer you a comfortable place to land for your adventures! Tim is a Montana native, born and raised in Bozeman. He is a graduate of Montana State University (Bobcat), and has a Masters from Oregon State University (Beaver). Tracy is an Idaho native, born and raised in Boise. She attended Boise State University (Bronco), and University of Phoenix.
Why the Owner Chose Sandpoint:
20 Acre Woods is a natural fit for our desire to be close to the woods and town. 'This property is 'romantic' to me, in the winter we snow-shoe or ski right off the back deck making our own tracks. In the summer the hammock and porch swing are our favorite resting spots(Tracy).'
The 360 view of the Cabinet and Selkirk Mountain Ranges bring grace and peace to even the most restless who visit us. And this is what we desire for you.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love every square inch of 20 Acre Woods. The wrap around porch lends shelter from the snow and sun. In the warmer months the front porch is a wonderful spot to sip coffee and read the paper. There is no season we are not using the deck.
20 Acre Woods winter months we can snowmobile, snow shoe, and ski right from the house. Sledding? We have our own sled hill with a fire barrel close by and the hill can be lit with lanterns for late afternoon fun.
20 Acre Woods Summer months we can hike, run, mountain bike, and swim at our Pack River swim hole. Justin has started some wicked awesome mountain bike trails from the house.
Each bedroom offers a haven of rest, warmth, and mountain views. The main living space offers full amenities from leather couches, rocking chairs, full dining table, kitchen, and all the windows offer the same spectacular mountain views.
The property also has a Carriage House where we have year-round care-takers for the property. Privacy is our utmost wish and desire for you and the care-takers will be a phone call away to ensure your stay is comfortable, safe, and memorable.
***Meet the Care-Takers: Justin and Brooke are newlyweds and also have a strong passion for everything outdoors! They both are committed to making your stay the best it can be.
