Relax before the holidays
We traveled from Parker, Co to relax before the holidays. We checked out the fun stores and coffee shops that are open year around. Our special message to the host: what a cozy, comfortable home! The little details like the handmade soaps and the well-stocked kitchen are just a few of the reasons we'll be back!

Family weddingGuest comment entered by owner
Our guests were so comfortable, they didn't want to leave. Our housekeeper finally had to let them know she had to clean for the next guests arriving that afternoon. Sorry... They didn't even have time to write in our guestbook. Obviously, they were enjoying our cottage. They'll just have to stay longer next time...:) Pam wrote on her way home from Estes Park: Thank you for a lovely wedding weekend at your cottage!!

The perfect place to stay!
The perfect place to stay!
This is the perfect place to stay. The cottage was so clean, well decorated and made you feel at home. The owner adds so many small touches to make you feel completely at home and she is wonderful to work with. She is top notch with her customer service skills. The scenery is great and the view of the mountains from the cottage is breath taking. We totally enjoyed our stay in Estes Park and I would highly recommend this cottage to all my friends and relatives if they have the opportunity to visit this area. The perfect cottage to say in!

Owner response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I look forward to having you and your husband again sometime in the future. Hopefully, the next time you visit our beautiful area, there will be no government shutdown and Rocky Mountain National Park will be open. I felt so bad that you could not visit The Park. You really missed some of the most breathtaking scenery, second to none, in the entire world. Next time... Thank you again for choosing Twin Owls Cottage as your home away from home while celebrating your anniversary.

40th wedding anniversary
We traveled from Illinois. We came to enjoy the mountains! Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We appreciated all the little added touches that made it feel like home! Cleanliness - everything was wonderful. We enjoyed watching the elk and the view of the mountains! Our tips and advice for future guests are enjoy! Beautiful cottage --beautiful town! Our special message to our host: Beautiful cottage! Thanks for sharing and making us feel at home. Chilled wine when we arrived was so thoughtful! Thanks so much for the anniversary wishes! Thanks Carol! Our lasting memories are the scenery was wonderful but we will always remember our government bickering and shutting down all the National Parks. We were unable to visit Rocky Mountain National park and canceled our plans to visit the Grand Canyon!

Cozy cottage near downtown
Cozy cottage near downtown
We are at the end of a 2 month stay in Twin Owls Cottage. It is located about 3/8 miles from downtown which makes for an easy walk to the shops and many activities there. That distance is largely uphill so we had no problems from the 'Great Flood of 2013'! The kitchen is small but well-equipped. The decor is charming. Most of the time it was just my husband and myself. One week another couple was visiting. The cottage is arranged so that we each had privacy when we wanted it. The owner, Carol, couldn't be more accommodating. We like it so much we have booked another stay for 2014!

Owner response: It has been a pleasure to have you both as our guests. I cannot believe that two months have gone by so quickly and that Fall is here already! Have a safe trip back to Texas and best to you both in the coming year. Thank you for making Twin Owls Cottage your choice as your home away from home while vacationing in our beautiful town of Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains. I look forward to having you as our guests again next year!

We came to Estes and were BLOWN AWAY by Twin Owls Cottage. From the moment we booked and were put in contact with the owner, we had nothing but positive and helpful interactions that put us at ease as we travelled. We could not have asked for a more perfect spot to stay. An easy walk (or drive...for those of us not used to the altitude!) down the street to access the quaint down-town area with tons of shopping, eateries, and trails. Every detail of the house was clean, welcoming, and carefully thought out. We will definitely be staying again in the future. If you're looking for a welcoming, relaxing house in the perfect location - look no further!

Owner response: Thank you so much for the outstanding review and for taking the time to write it! Our priority is to make Twin Owls Cottage a place where our guests will want to come back. I am fastidious when it comes to getting our cottage ready for our guests. My daughter calls it "OC" but when it comes to making my guests feel at home and comfortable while at Twin Owls, then call me "OC." Down to every last detail, we strive to make our cottage the cleanest, most welcoming, best stocked and comfortable place to stay, so that our guests will have an unforgettable vacation while visiting our quaint town of Estes Park. Thank you again for your wonderful review. Hopefully, you will think about Twin Owls Cottage the next time you plan your vacation in Estes Park.
This cottage is very quaint. The decor is very spot on and cozy. We had everything we needed. The size was perfect for our family of six. We loved that it was walking distance to our favorite shops in town. This home is very clean and the owner was friendly and helpful. Our favorite place to eat is Smokin Dave's BBQ and our favorite shop is Brownfields.

About the owner: Having loved Colorado from the very first time my family and I visited when I was just a young girl, made me know, that Colorado was where I wanted to live when I grew up. And so, at the age of 20, over 40 years ago, I moved to the place of my dreams. When my mother would come to visit me during the summers, Estes Park was one place that she wanted to visit each year. Her love of the mountains, especially the charm of Estes Park and the peaceful serenity and beauty the mountains especially Rocky Mountain National Park is something that we both shared. Which is the reason, when I had the opportunity to purchase Twin Owls Cottage, I did not have to think twice. My family and I love to stay up at our cottage whenever we can. We love the charm and the quaintness of the cottage and the proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park, not to mention the easy walk to downtown Estes Park. This a perfect vacation spot for my family and I believe you will find it to be exactly what you expected as soon as you enter Twin Owls Cottage.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
I fell in love with Twin Owls Cottage not just because of its close proximity to downtown Estes Park and it's easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park, but also because of its appeal and uniqueness. I love the stone and clapboard siding, which for me, reveals the attention to detail of it's first owner and gives it that charm of a bygone era. As I began to choose decor for my home, I strove meticulously to bring back the charm that it was meant to have both inside and out. I believe that I have accomplished what I set out to do and I am sure you will find that same charm as you drive up to the semi-circular drive and park in front of the flagstone patio. Extra care has been taken in every detail with love and appreciation for our lovely cottage. We hope that you fall in love with our cottage, the town and the mountains as much as we have. My family welcomes you to our home. We want you to enjoy your stay. Hopefully, you will find our cottage welcoming, peaceful and comfortable as we have worked hard to insure the best vacation possible for our guests.
