Winter Rental, available in January and February. Lakefront home with 3 bedrooms and 3 and a half baths. It has vaulted exposed beam ceilings throughout the upper floor which includes the master bedroom & bath, a modest living room, dining area, kitchen and half bath. The lower level has exposed beam 9 foot high ceilings and encompasses a junior suite with private bath, a family room, laundry room, the third bedroom and one common bathroom.
If you are looking for a view of Lake Tahoe this is about as good as it gets. Our orientation is due east so the sunrises are often spectacular. Sunsets create great alpenglow on the mountains across the lake. The view to the east stretches across 12 miles of Lake Tahoe to the mountains of Nevada. To the south over 20 miles of Lake Tahoe are topped by views of Heavenly Valley. It takes three shots with our standard camera to capture the expanse of lakeview from the decks. There are lakeviews from the kitchen, dining, living, master bedroom, junior suite and family rooms. There are upper and lower lakeview decks, the lower has a small Marquis Spa hot tub. There is a private, double level, pier that is shared with one neighbor.
This is our primary residence and available while we vacation. The home is 2400 SF but we will be locking off three storage areas and two bedrooms that we use as home offices. Winter access is excellent, there is a level driveway and a two car garage. A covered walkway connects the driveway to the entry with two flights of steps, each with 3 steps. Although there is road noise associated with the main road, there are also no side street access concerns. This lot is 230' deep, deeper than most lakefronts, so the house is set back from the road and buffered by the detached garage. Most lakefront homes at Lake Tahoe also front on the main road.

A Rental Deposit of $1000.00, separate from the Security Deposit, will be required to reserve the rental.

A 10% Tourist Occupancy Tax is required in addition to the rental rate. A cleaning fee of $350 will be added to each rental.

About the owner: My wife and I met at Squaw Valley in 1977 and started an Architectural and Engineering Design Firm in Tahoe City in 1979. We raised three children in this home and retired here when we sold the firm in 2007. We now keep ourselves busy as professional ski instructors at Squaw Valley.
Why the Owner Chose Cedar Flat:
We know Tahoe very well and have owned several homes and properties. As a designer I have been in thousands of homes around the lake. This is the bay we always loved, it's in the wind shadow of Dollar Point, so it's normally protected and calm. It has wonderful views stretching from Mount Rose to Heavenly Valley.

Excellent sun exposure, in fact we have a 4.5Kw Photovoltaic(Solar Electric) System and a 3 panel Solar Hot Water System. This house is on the north shore but it has a due east view, perfect for sunrises and alpenglow at sunset. The view is so panoramic you can watch storms come in and work their way across the lake. Level access to the driveway and only 6 steps, under a covered walkway, to the entry make winter access easy. Clear Heart Redwood is throughout, from the hand carved garage door to trim in every room.
