Our vacation home in the community of Eldorado is just 20 minutes from Santa Fe Plaza, and easy driving distance to mountain hikes, ski slopes and historic ruins. Master bedroom, with Tempurpedic Firm king size bed, is surrounded by a deck with spectacular views of desert and mountains, especially magnificent at sunset. Downstairs bedrooms feature a queen and two twins, both with Carolina Mattress Guild 'green' mattresses; all bedrooms have new, beautiful cork flooring that looks like hardwood but with more resilience and sustainability. Kiva fireplace, open great room with gleaming brick floors, 2 car garage. Well stocked electric kitchen with colorful Fiestaware dishes, new Oneida cookware, blender, coffeemaker, microwave and toaster oven.
We have Satellite TV and wireless Internet. There is a small library of books (take one, leave one!) as well as a small selection of CDs and DVDs.

Great home with all the amenities and perfect if you don't require being right in Santa Fe itself while visiting the Santa Fe region. Downtown Santa Fe is an easy 15 - 20 minute drive from Eldorado where the house is located. Eldorado has a supermarket at its Agora Center for groceries if you don't want to drive into the city. Ojo Caliente hot springs which we visited was only an hour and a half drive. Taos is probably similar. Harry's Roadhouse is nearby on the Old Las Vegas Hwy about a 10 minute drive. We enjoyed lighting a small fire in the kiva in the mornings to take some of the New Mexico chill away while having breakfast. The roof deck is good for sitting in the sun or watching the stars at night. The owners were a pleasure to deal with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a perfect vacation home! Emily and Noah have thought of every conceivable thing that a renter might want and have included it with the property. All the mattresses are brand new and incredibly comfortable!The house is lovingly decorated, extremely peaceful and quiet, and offers great privacy. If you have any questions at all, a quick email or phone call will get an immediate response. Having the Agora and La Tienda centers right down the road offers convenient shopping just in case there's anything you might need in a hurry and downtown Santa Fe is a very easy 20 minute drive. My husband and I had worried that it would be difficult to find finding a "pet friendly" rental. We stumbled upon this house and could not be happier! Thank you Emily and Noah for sharing your wonderful home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Emily and Noah Freedman live near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They own a mental health practice where Noah is a psychiatrist and Emily is a marriage & family therapist. They have 3 grown children and a small, friendly dog named Max.
Why the Owner Chose Eldorado:
We fell in love with Santa Fe when our nephew got married here in 2009. Before we knew it we were searching online for just the right house to retire in. Retirement is still a few years away, but this house is now our vacation home and we look forward to sharing it with others until we can move there.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We fell in love with the house the minute we stepped out onto the deck and saw the breathtaking view. We just can't get enough of the mountains, the dawns and the sunsets.
