  I came to this beach house with another couple and had an outstanding time! The views are incredible and the house has everything you would need... from the heated bathroom floors to the outdoor grill to a 5 star kitchen, this was one of the best properties I have ever stayed at. The owner (Kim) was also great to work with; she was responsive to all of our needs, and was always available. As somebody who stays in vacation homes multiple times per year I would HIGHLY recommend this property as a top choice for couples, families, and anyone who wants to wake up to the ocean on their front doorstep.

We found Matthew to be a wonderful guest with a good sense of integrity and professionalism what has become rather rare in this day in age.   I couldn't think of a better house on the beach in Manzanita. Very cool interiors and lots of deck and view outside. Owners were great too. Five Star!!

  This is my dream house! I love the interiors and the design is creative, comfortable and modern. The exterior of the house is great too, but I don't think most people come here to admire the design. They come for the great location, a short walk to town, the comfy furniture, clean and well stocked house and great decks overlooking the beach.

  We were very happy with our choice of houses for our vacation. The owners recently finished a remodel. You can tell they knew what they were doing when it comes to creating the perfect beach house. Place to come in from the beach, place to relax and enjoy the view, good kitchen, good bathrooms and good beds.

  My family and I were very lucky to have our get together this week in June because the weather was more like August. It was perfect. This house was perfect too. We rented this house and the owners other beach front house just up the road, and it was perfect for my wife and I and our kids and their families. 2 of our kids and their children stayed in this house, but we did spend a lot of time on their big deck overlooking the ocean. It was terrific. Both houses have Weber propane grills and they got a lot of use. Everything is new in this house and everyone loved it. We are planning on making this an annual get away. Until our grandkids are in school. Then we might have to come in August.

  Owner response: Our guests have been booking both of our ocean side Manzanita houses (the other is VRBO 399113) for family and friends gatherings. It has worked well for our guests, and we've enjoyed doing the same for our family and friends. It's convenient, both houses are wonderful with great views and locations, and our guests are able to work with only one owner so arrangements are easier and things go smoothly. We look forward to your next family trip!

  I've been to Manzanita many times before, but when I stayed at this amazing house it was the best trip i've had in years! It's great for all ages and having my two kids there with me was a fun experience for them too! When people go to the beach they normally think that all you can do is hang out on the beach, but i've done kayaking with my kids, boogie boarding and fun cycling!! It is definitely a house that anyone would love to stay at! And the town is just 3 blocks away. A great walk for any age. My family would love to come back to this amazing house and we are definitely going to recommend this house to our friends.

Some of our favorites are included on your list: kayaking on the Nehalem River and Bay (the ocean, too, if you have experience), renting Fun Cycles in town and spending the afternoon riding on the flat 7 mile beach, boogie boarding, skim boarding, packing a lunch from wonderful Bread and Ocean bakery and having a picnic on the beach and watching the wind surfers, hiking on the wonderful trails of the local state and national parks, mountain biking on the great local trails, tennis or golf at the local places, horseback riding at the state park, looking through the tide pools in the early morning, flying kites, visiting the local artisans such as the cheese and wine producers, Friday farmers market in the summer, our kids spent hours damming up the small creeks that cross the beach to the ocean (bring shovels and buckets!), watching the surfers at Short Sand beach, fresh saltwater taffy at Bruces Candy Kitchen in Cannon Beach, bumper cars in Seaside on a rainy day, also on the to do list near Seaside is the 7 miles zip line and a helicopter ride along the coast, visiting the Lewis and Clark National Park and all their fun activities and following the trail, and an afternoon at the Maritime Museum in Astoria.

  We stayed at this house earlier in the year, and returned as guests of a couple we recommended the house to. This is my favorite Manzanita beach house, by far. The house is wonderful, clean and nicely decorated, the owners are great to work with, and the location is just a short walk to town. We parked the car and didn't use it the whole time. This is definitely our go to beach vacation house, and we recommend it to all our friends.

  We just returned from a weekend at this lovely house. We have stayed in Manzanita several times before and this was by far the cleanest and most comfortable of the houses we have rented. The house is very spacious and we found it very accommodating (we were sharing it with another couple and their infant). We put our own toddler to sleep in the downstairs room and she is typically a light sleeper but she slept soundly while the adults stayed up talking and playing board games. The beds are all comfortable and clean and the linens are all very cozy. The owners really did not overlook any details... the downstairs bunk beds each have a very soft, plush blanket and the bathrooms were spotless and modern. Most of the other rentals we have stayed in definitely had more of a cabin/lived in feel and this was cozy but had many wonderful luxurious touches. As other reviewers noted, there is some foot traffic on the road outside but the house is located such a short walk to town that it's worth it. (We have stayed further from the town and there were fewer passersby but I liked not having to drive to get to the town). And the road doesn't interfere at all with the incredible view or the ease of walking right out the door to the beach. The spiral staircase and hard flooring (concrete downstairs) might make some parents nervous but the overall decor and furniture in the house is very kid friendly. We just reminded our daughter to be very cautious on the staircase and she didn't have any issues. Also, make sure to bring your own sand toys, board games, etc. The house is well equipped with books though. (Lastly, this house was by far the easiest/least stressful one I have rented in regards to cleaning up before check out time. In past houses in Manzanita, we have sometimes had to wash and dry all or most of the linens and remake the beds before leaving. It makes it very stressful to get out of the house on time and makes the final morning hectic. In this house, we simply ran the dishwasher after breakfast, then stripped the linens and towels and took them to the laundry room and got the loads started. We emptied the dishwasher and we were finished. My husband and I both commented on how much easier it was to relax on our final morning and get packed up in a reasonable amount of time.)

  Well this home is a treat, the décor is lovely, great front porch line in Adirondacks looking onto the beach. Beds were super comfy, my kiddos thought bunkbeds were awesome, kitchen was well stocked with basics, plenty of plates, flatware, etc. the downstairs entrance was very helpful with our sand covered children, straight shot to the bathtub. Just all around well set up house with ample room for our group of 4 adults and 3 children!

  We stayed for a week in April with our three children in their 20's and their significant others. It was a wonderful week. We loved the home, which we found to be bigger than it looks, especially the downstairs area. Having two decks was great, lots of outdoor comfortable seating. Loved that it was such a short walk to get a few groceries or go out for some food. The beach is wonderful to take long walks on. Overall the house was very well equipped, a few things seemed missing so it's good to check with Kim beforehand if you have questions (such as no blender). We loved the feel of the home and the way it was decorated very modern, without the clutter of stuff that makes you feel like you are in someone else's home. The property was totally as advertised, was ready and clean on arrival, and communications were great. Internet died during our stay but owner came to replace modem which solved the problem. The one negative that might make me think twice about returning, especially during the summer or a busy weekend, is that there is a road right in front, between you and the amazing view. On the weekend it was quite busy with cars (and even a motor home) parking right in front of our view. Most of the week it was fairly quiet though.

Summers 3, 4 or 7 nights only, must include Sat. arrive or departure. July 4th is a weekly booking only. Holiday rate is applied to the stay - contact us for details. Weekends booked as Friday and Saturday. Please note that dates are not held for you until you receive our Confirmation Email and terms are agreed to by renting party. All rates, terms, conditions and fees are subject to change.

Contact us for further information regarding deposits, payments, and refunds. Summers are booked 3,4, or 7 night stays, arrival or departure on Saturdays. Summer weeks with only 4 night vacancy available must book for the full 4 night stay, etc. Please ask us for details.
