Flat Screen TV in LR with Cable TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi, telephone for local calls. Upstairs loft area with 2nd flat screen TV, complete with X-box entertainment system, large hot tub on the deck.
The home sleeps 10 comfortably and perfect for 2 families to share. The open living/dining area has a wood-burning fireplace and flat-screen TV. The kitchen is well equipped and opens to the dining area, which in turn opens to the Living Room. Outside is a large deck with gas BBQ and large hot tub and sledding in the backyard.
Northstar-at-Tahoe, now a Vail Resort, is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Winter at Northstar includes great skiing and snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snow tubing park, ice skating, equipment rental, children’s ski school and licensed day care.
Walk out the front door and be picked up by a free shuttle for skiing or to visit The Village at NorthStar for ice skating, restaurants, shopping & and the newly opened Ritz Carlton.
Enjoy access to the Recreation Center ($2 per per person day use charge) featuring a fitness center, hot tubs, lap pool, massage (by appointment) and game room.
Summer activities include an 18-hole golf course and driving range, tennis, roller skating, mountain bike trails on the mountain, equestrian center, adult lap pool and junior Olympic-size swimming pool, kids camp and playground area.
Lake Tahoe is approx 6 miles away featuring boating, jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, shopping, and sightseeing activities. Another 15 miles away are casinos in Nevada.

We stayed at this wonderful cozy Northstar home. This home is perfect for families with children. Very well stocked with all the amenities you need during your stay. The rooms are big and comfortable. Living room / dining room combo works great for everyone to enjoy and be together. Upstairs loft is wonderful for children to play board games, video games, etc and have their own space. This house is also great for a boys or girls getaway! You will not be disappointed! The shuttle to the village bars and restaurants makes outings in both winter and summer very easy! I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a Tahoe getaway! We will be back!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a gem of a cabin! There are 4 bedrooms each with a slightly different set up adding up to enough sleeping space for 8-10 people (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Fulls, a third Full and Bunk Bed combo). All the beds were super comfortable and as advertised the bathrooms have been remodeled nicely. I'd argue that this is sort of the ideal set up, its large enough to sleep a group of 8-10 but also quite intimate. It encourages lots of social time because all of the rooms are off one living room which is adjacent to the kitchen and dining area. As far as amenities, there were a ton of cable channels and it was possible to order an on-demand movie (which will come in handy if you get snowed in). The owner was very easy to work with and his info-sheet was extremely informative (bonus points for the recommended local restaurants section). The hot tub is great and the BBQ is excellent. But the best feature is the ability to just call the shuttle which picks you up at the end of the driveway. The only group I'm not sure this cabin is well suited for is families with very young children. Its not exactly set up if you have young crawling or just walking children. This is due in large part to the stairs, dressers, cabinets and other furniture which is (obviously) not baby proofed. But if your kids are past that stage (4 & up) then this is the perfect spot!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We were two families, each with three kids, sharing this home over New Years. The house is not huge, but the layout is very convenient and we were very comfortable. Plenty of beds (one BR has a bunk bed plus a double bed, which was really convenient), and all of the comforts of home - well-supplied kitchen, plenty of linens, video games up in the loft, etc... The owner was a pleasure to work with, we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly rent the property again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is a great cabin located only a short couple minute drive from Northstar. I've rented this cabin with friends twice. It's very comfortable, well equiped and spacious. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, clean, well maintained cabin in North Lake Tahoe.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: This has been our family retreat for the past 30 years. It has never been rented before, it is still used by our family and is occasionally rented to people with good references.
