As you can see this is a completely redecorated studio perfect for your budget.

Garden view condo that you can walk to restaurants, shopping, the farmers market, etc. Or take the honu express ($1.00 each way) to the best snorkeling beach on the island, 'kahalu'u beach' and the keauhou area which is about 6 miles south of kona.
You can rent mopeds nearby too, if that interests you.
Walk to the kailua pier to go on a snorkeling tour or underwater tour of your choice.
Take a dip in the pool, sit in the hot tub after a long day of shopping or sightseeing and cook your favorite fish on one of the huge barbeque grills.

Clean condo, convenient location
Given the relatively low price, this condo was well cared for, clean, and everything was in working order. It is a good, basic place to stay, and if you like being right in the middle of the shopping/tourist area, you will really like it. The kitchen was small (microwave, kettle, toaster) not really suitable for cooking a meal but fine for light breakfasts and storing stuff for picnic lunches. Overall, I'd say that the photos and description in this listing are accurate. I did appreciate the wifi connection inside the condo. I didn't spend much time on property - the Kona Islander Inn property was very crowded the week I was there and it was a bit noisy with people coming and going. Parking is EXTREMELY limited which was a surprise to me, so be aware that if the parking onsite is full, you will have to park in the pay lot across the street. Not a huge deal, just inconvenient and it would have been nice to know in advance.
