Welcome to Casa Del Desierto
Situated along the Fred Wolff Bear Creek bike and walking path, your home directly faces the Santa Rosa Mountains. Plumeria trees, cactus and desert landscaping transform the private salt water pool and spa into an environment for relaxing and entertaining. An outdoor dining table, gas grill, and heat-lamp provide a perfect setting for enjoying the great desert winter climate.
French doors welcome you into your Spanish style home. As you enter the living room, the 12 foot ceiling and fireplace create a spacious and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance is completed with comfortable adobe style furniture and paintings from local artists.
An open floor plan connects the living and dining areas with the kitchen and bar. The best part is no one is ever left out of the conversation. The bar is a great place to eat, drink, and socialize with those working in the kitchen. Stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances, hand crafted Mexican tile inlays, and tile counter-tops maintain the Spanish theme. If you love to cook, the gas stove and oven won't disappoint.

Just returned from 6 glorious weeks in this beautiful Santa Fe home. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure that every detail meets their high standards. And they're animal lovers! The gorgeous Spanish furnishings and local Southwestern art make you feel like you are visiting a different world. The large kitchen is equipped with high quality stainless steel appliances which make cooking fun. The huge washer & dryer are also super. It is a dream house for entertaining. Sitting (or laying) in either the front or back yards, looking at the stars, or listening to the abundance of birds is delightful. We enjoyed walking the trails across the street. Thanks for everything. We will definitely return!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Adorable, spotless and well equipped home in a fabulous location, especially when vacationing with your four-legged children! We loved being able to step outside and walk for miles along the trail, up into the hills, or through the residential area meeting and talking to the residents. We only ate out once because we both enjoy cooking and the kitchen was very well equipped with nice appliances and lots of extras! The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable, and were very welcoming to our dogs. I would love to rent this house again next year and hope to stay longer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent 7 wonderful weeks in this beautiful home. The location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. We rode our bikes daily to either La Quinta village for morning coffee or afternoon Happy Hour specials, or on the Bear Creek path to nearby desert hiking trails. The large 2 car garage has plenty of room for two cars and bicycles. The kitchen has nearly everything you need for entertaining, including a super-size oven. Beds are comfortable, linens are great quality, and there are plenty of towels of all types. The washer and dryer are large and efficient. The owners of the house live nearby and their pride of ownership shows. The pool and yards are serviced weekly, as is the separate hot tub. And by the way, the hot tub is perfectly located just outside the master bedroom. The patio furniture in both the front and back patios is of very good quality and ideal for many happy outdoor hours. Furnishings are tasteful, in a rustic, Southwest style. TVs, stereo, and wifi all operate just as you would expect. All in all I give this home an A+ grade.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
