This tucked away pleasant condo is more like a cabin as it is is a stand alone unit. It has all you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation in the woods. There is one main bedroom with a double bed and a toddler bed. Up a ladder you will find the open loft with a double futon. There is also a fold out couch to utilize in the living room.It is perfect for 2-4 people. Six can fit, but pretty crowded. There is one bathroom with a shower and bath. Stay warm without chopping wood by the gas fire place.There is an oven, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, tons of movies for kids and adults, board games, cards,a charcoal BBQ (byoc) and big windows to watch the snowfall. The best (and only) coffee stand is within a 2 minute walk down the bike path. They have great coffee and crepes! The bike path is practically out the front door to enjoy a walk or bike ride. You are in walking distance to the best restaurants in Girdwood.

Long term rental price is negotiable. Credit card bookings available. A surcharge will be added on every credit card booking.
Payment due in full when reserving cabin. A $50.00 fee will be charged if rental is cancelled within 48 hours of stay.
Rate is based on 4 people. Each additional person is an additional $25.00. Minimum rental time is 30 days.

Cancellation policy:
Anything damaged beyond repair will be replaced by persons renting the property. Any theft from property will be replaced by persons renting the property at the time of use. Any damage done will need to be paid for by persons renting the cabin.

About the owner: Life long Alaskans and skiers, we bought this cabin as a vacation get-away. It is great for both summer and winter use and my little family has been loving the cabin life. We enjoy being able to go x-country skiing in the meadow or downhill skiing in the winter and walking to the park and library in the summer.
Why the Owner Chose Girdwood:
I grew up skiing at Alyeska my whole life and want to pass the memories on to my child. Being in Girdwood is magical. The air is fresh, the mountains are beautiful and the experiences are priceless. When driving past the Birdhouses, I have always dreamed of owning one. They are the perfect size and location for my family. The cabin is easy to maintain and in a quiet location. We chose to rent it out as we often have events in town and don't use it every weekend.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The open kitchen and living area is a big plus for us. Growing up, everyone always ends up in the kitchen so being able to relax and socialize is a welcome feature in the cabin. The loft is great for the kids! There is a TV/VHS player so the kids kids can watch movies or play games upstairs while the adults are downstairs. The cabin is tucked in the trees and is always quiet. Our cabin is tucked in from the rest in the Loop which lends itself to lots of privacy.
