Domaine de la Loubiere is a large estate set in the countryside in the ten-acre grounds of a 16th century chateau. Aix en Provence is just 20 minutes away, famous for its art, culture, and thermal spa. Lying at the foothills of the Luberon National Park, close to the Durance River, this is an ideal location for hikers and mountain bikers to enjoy the spectacular countryside and wildlife year round.
Each of the three houses is entirely private, and can be let separately, sleeping four, six, or ten respectively, or together they make an ideal location for up to 20.
Les Platanes: A restored stone cottage sleeping four, in two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Kitchen, dining/living room, and bathroom with private south-facing terrace.
Sebastian's House: Built into rock and sleeping four to six, in two bedrooms, one double and one twin, with an additional double-size sofa bed in large, stone-built dining room, kitchen, living room, bathroom, and storage room. It has a private, west-facing terrace.
La Grange: A restored stone barn, sleeping ten, in two double-size bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and three twin bedded rooms with family bathroom. Vast (1000 square feet) living space with dining, sitting, and kitchen areas. Laundry room, south-facing raised terrace overlooking swimming pool.
Guests at La Loubiere have their own fenced pool (39-feet by 20-feet) with comfortable loungers to relax on, surrounded by over two acres of open space for leisure activities. There is also a tennis court in the grounds of the chateau which guests have unlimited access to.
Each house is decorated in Provencal style retaining many original features, whilst offering all modern appliances. etc. All come equipped with good quality bed linens, towels, and pool towels.
The town of Pertuis is three miles from La Loubiere and offers a wide range of shops, from small family bakers to large supermarkets. The area is well served by restaurants and many weekly markets.
The motorway is only a ten-minute drive away which gives easy access to the other towns and coastal resorts such as Cassis and the Camargue. Famous villages in the Luberon, including Lourmarin, Bonnieux, and La Tour d'Aigues can easily be reached by meandering country routes. |
