This newly renovated apartment in a quiet and charming 19th century building, located in an inside flowered and light-filled courtyard, is situated on the second floor (French first etage).

It is a one-bedroom apartment with high ceilings. The spacious livingroom has original red tiles floors and a fireplace. There are three windows opening on the court yard. A comfortable sofa and the fold-out couch for two extra persons. The bedroom with oak floors is furnished with a queen-sized bed and a wall-to-wall wardrobe. Also a modern bathroom with shower, a fully-equipped kitchen so that you can serve a grand meal at the dining room table.

The Bastille Opera House, the Marais, and the Place des Vosges are only a few minutes walking distance.

Nearest metro station is Bastille (five minutes). The Marais and nearby Place de la Bastille is home to some of the most important figures and events in Parisian history. Victor Hugo made his home Place des Vosges. Alexandre Dumas and Balzac resided in le Marais.

The Picasso Museum, in Hotel Salé, devoted solely to the artist, provides a unique opportunity to follow Picasso's development throughout his career, from 1894 to 1972. The world's most significant collection of his work.

The Musée Carnavalet on rue de Sévigné is one of the most interesting of Paris museums. It illustrates the history and development of Paris up to the present.

The neighbourhood offers lots of small galleries, theatres, cafés, restaurants, the outdoor markets, "Place-Aligre" and "Bastille," and the year-round program of opera and ballet at The Opera Bastille. Not to forget the musée Edith Piaf if you are a fan of Piaf, at the edge of the arrondissement.
