We are finishing up a large remodeling project in this beautiful cabin. We just purchased this cabin and the remodeling will be completed by December 15, 2012. Watch for updated photos as the different areas are completed.
We will have a new kitchen with beautiful hickory cabinets and a dark counter top. The new stainless steel appliances are delivered and the new wood floor is installed.
Since the kitchen is complete, we are now working on the bathrooms. The Log Cabin will have a bath and a half. We purchased new hickory vanities and they are beautiful.
Next are the bedrooms. The new mattresses were delivered as well as the new bedding and comforters! The Master bedroom has one Queen bed and one XL Twin bed. The other bedroom on the main level has two XL Twin beds. The large loft has two Double/Full beds and two XL Twin beds.

There's great fishing on North Star Lake. North Star is a DNR managed lake and is stocked with walleye. It is also a designated Muskie lake, so there is no spearing in the winter which gives all fish a change to grow larger.

October - Mid May the resort is closed, but this beautiful cabin is still available. Come and enjoy the fall colors or come in the winter. We love snowmobiling and appreciate that the trails are so close. Sometimes we leave from here and go for a short ride and sometimes we are gone all day!
Perhaps you just need to get away. The Log Cabin is a perfect place to just sit and relax in front of the fireplace and read a book, take a nap or rest and regroup.
If you like to snowshoe or cross country ski, there are trails near by. Or you can go on the lake too.

Additional information about rental rates
$200 damage deposit is due. This will be refunded upon inspection of the cabin, within a week of departure.
We accept Master Card, Visa, Discover, checks and cash. If you choose to pay by check, we must have a credit card number on file.
Deposit:
June - August the deposit is $800 payable when the reservation is made, final payment due upon arrival.
Sept - May: Deposit is $300 or 1/2 of cabin rental, which ever is larger. Final payment due 30 days prior to arrival.

About the owner: We have owned and operated Cedar Point Resort for 12 years. We love it in the 'great north woods.' It is a perfect compromise between being both remote and close to services.

We purchased this property in November 2012. It is a beautiful log cabin with private lake shore on 3 1/2 acres of forest and only 100 feet from shore. It adjacent to Cedar Point Resort and is a perfect fit for us!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We have always loved this hand scribed log home that was built around 1986. The logs are so gorgeous and they were harvested locally from a nearby forest. When it came up for sale, we couldn't say no.
This cabin is available year round and is a totally private home, yet is just the next property over from the resort and has full use of resort amenties: Pool, swim beach, swim raft, lodge, game room, family and kid activities.....
