A quiet retreat in the Colorado Rockies set in the pinon hills north of Salida, Colorado, this newly-completed guest house is a base for year-round adventure or relaxation.
This guest house offers ample parking and a private patio. It features one large bedroom with a queen-sized Select Comfort mattress that allows each side of the bed to be adjusted to an individually-desired firmness. Additionally, the bedroom has a large closet and a sitting area. The spacious bathroom has a tiled shower. The living room has a full-sized sleeper sofa, adjacent dining area and a LCD flat screen HDTV with basic satellite service. Wi-Fi and a laptop computer are provided. Eat in, using the new electric cook top in the kitchen which also has a double sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffeemaker. Dishes and cooking utensils are supplied.
The guest house is 5 minutes from historic downtown Salida, great restaurants, art galleries, and shopping. Ski Monarch and Mt. Princeton Hot Springs are 20 minute drives into the mountains. Outdoor enthusiasts will also enjoy rafting, hiking, fishing and mountain biking in the area. Sun filled days and starry, starry nights, and spectacular mountain vistas make this a perfect Rocky Mountain getaway!

This cottage has so many little touches to make a stay here comfortable and convenient. It was roomy for the two of us with our two dogs. It was impeccably clean and well maintained. We loved being just outside town to avoid the noise and traffic and enjoy the great views yet just a quick drive in to stores etc. The hosts were a joy from booking to the end of our stay. We hope to stay here again and will recommend this gem to everyone we know!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at Starry, Starry Night on our way west for birding. What a wise decision! We found an incredibly cute, comfortable casita remodeled in the best of taste. We had access to a microwave, refrigerator, TV with cable, soft towels, and on. Also, the windows look out at a gorgeous mountain view which welcomes you in the morning. At night you can see stars galore while listening to the quiet, a rare thing anywhere today. They have thought of everything! In addition, they are two of the best of hosts. Really, take a day or a week and explore the Salida area, see the galleries, hike nearby trails, eat at the local restaurants, stroll around the historic downtown, take a river rafting trip, or just hang out and relax. It is a great place to recharge your batteries.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We had a fantastic stay in this nice quiet neighborhood conveniently located near downtown Salida. This property also offers convenient access to 285, allowing for exploration of nearby recreation spots (Agnes Falls is an easy hike - don't miss it!). Our hosts were friendly and made us feel at home. The property is clean and inviting and gave us plenty of room to settle into. We look forward to another extended stay with Ron and Rose in Salida!Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband and I were delighted by our stay and Starry, Starry Nights and Mountain Vistas are just the beginning! This vacation home was a pure delight. The newly remodeled home is very was clean, well appointed and beautifully finished with wonderful amenities. We slept so well in the very comfortable bed that my husband slept in later than I have seen in 25 years! The consideration of the owners is well appreciated and the location is beautiful and peaceful.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

The hosts are fun and friendly people, the cottage is very welcoming and feels as comfortable as home! I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay to friends and relatives! I have visited many times, and plan for many more in the future! The cottage is beautiful and feels just like home! The sceanery of the mountain views are breathtaking and very much relaxing during quiet starry nights! Ron was fantastic, the property was fantastic, and the location was great. This property was just as described if not better. We stayed Friday to Sunday and enjoyed every second.
