A stone's throw from the beach, this 2000 square foot house in an oceanfront community offers access to beautiful views of Hutchinson Island shores. A large back yard with a screened swimming pool and patio make our house ideal for families and couples alike. Built in 2000, the house has a split bedroom plan, volume ceilings, tile floors throughout, and is decorated with new furniture in a light and clean Nautical style. The master suite contains a very comfortable queen bed, and its own private bathroom with a whirlpool tub. Off the master bathroom is a small study with two twin beds with its own access to the patio/swimming pool area. The other two bedrooms have one full and two twin beds. Family room is super cozy with stereo, flat screen TV, cable programming and free access to Netflix movies for your enjoyment. The house is also equipped with WiFi and a Nintendo Wii gaming system. A fully-equipped kitchen with all stainless-steel appliances has all the basic necessities for your to prepare your meals at home during your stay. In addition, there is a full-size washer and dryer and a garage. How close to the beach? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. The beach was so close and we found great restaurants nearby. We were surprised by how beautifully the home was decorated and furnished and you truly thought of everything. Thank you again for such a great experience. My wife and I and our two kids, 5 and 1, stayed at this house last week and had a great time. It is a great house, very clean and spacious. The pool in the back yard was perfect and is screened in so bugs were not an issue. Also, the walk to the beach was a piece of cake. Just down the street, past two houses and across an empty lot and you're there, maybe two minute walk, even with the little man. No problem with the kids and beach stuff. Also, the owners had beach chairs, umbrella and even some toys in the garage to use which was very convenient. As I said the house is in great shape. Very clean and looked like it had been recently painted. All one level with master bedroom on one side and two others on the other side of the house with the open kitchen/family room in the middle. There is also a formal living/dining room but we avoided it so as to keep the little man from breaking the breakables. (We did the kid proofing sweep before we let his little feet hit the ground.) Also the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Always a phone call or text away. They even agreed to refund our money for the last night of our stay so we could get back to our daughter's first soccer game. They had a binder at the house with island info and menus from local restaurants. There's a Publix grocery store about 15 minutes away in Fort Pierce with a small grocery store on the island about 5 minutes away. You can also get pizza delivered from Goodfella's which is located right on the island. Archies is a good spot for burgers and is kid friendly, at least during the day, right up the road. Other restaurants on the island as well. We only hit Mangrove Matties (sp?) and would not hit it again. Nice atmosphere, but very average food, especially for the money. The house is located on a quiet street even though it is right off of A1A. Traffic noise was not an issue and the neighbors that we saw were very nice. We have stayed at other houses at the Outer Banks, NC and in Cozumel, MX and this one is right at the top of the list and I would highly recommend it.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This beach home was the perfect spot for our family vacation. We truly felt at home once we walked in the door. The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The beach, which is a short walk from the house, was quiet and the water was an amazing color of blue. Our boys had great fun swimming in the ocean, then walking home and swimming in the pool. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make and serve our meals at home. There were several restaurants a short drive away, and a great bakery in downtown Ft. Pierce called Importico's Bakery Cafe that we visited a couple of times for breakfast croissants, coffee and pastries. The homeowners were great to work with and provided a really nice gift basket upon our arrival. I'm really glad we made the choice to rent this home and we will rent it again when we make our way back to Hutchinson Island.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a fantastic vacation on Hutchinson Island while staying at this lovely home. It was so clean, quiet and comfortable, and we really felt right at home once we got there. We spent lots of time on the beach, which is only a 1/2 block from the house. Our boys had a great time splashing in the waves, then coming back to the house to swim some more in the pool. The neighborhood was very quiet and we slept peacefully each night. The owners, Donna and Cassio, were most helpful in providing information about the surrounding area. We would definitely rent this home again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Dear Cassio and Donna: Thank you both for a marvelous getaway. The house was so comfortable and felt like we were "home"! We will definitely return, hopefully this summer, for a beach week vacation. Your beach home is perfectly decorated with comfortable beds and everything one needs for a stay away from home. The welcome basket was most appreciated as well as all the other little amenities provided. It was a short 1/2 block walk to the private beach...with some of the most beautifully colored water of the Atlantic Ocean that my husband and I have seen...comparable to the hues one might see in South Beach. Can't wait to get back there!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were looking for a nice rental, in a quiet area, close to the beach for Christmas and Donna and Cassio's house on Hutchinson Island was perfect! This rental is new to the market and the owners have thought of everything. The house is immaculate, furnishings are new and it is stocked with anything you could possibly need...there was even a small Christmas tree set up for us when we arrived. There is a small pool in a screened enclosure in a private backyard and the beach is less than a minute stroll away. The beach, which we almost had to ourselves, was so close it was easy to go back and forth whenever we needed something and we walked down early every morning to watch the sun come up, then hopped in the car for a 3 minute drive to the jetty to watch the fisherman and the boats go out in the morning. Other really nice touches with this house was a generous welcome basket with wine, cookies and crakers to greet us, shampoos and body wash in both bathrooms and paper products included...all this in what we felt was a great rate for a week in such a nice home! Everything we needed to cook was there but if you want to eat out (we like casual) we highly recommend 12abuoy for a crunchy grouper sandwich and head down the island one morning and enjoy breakfast at a little place called The Islander Cafe. There is no doubt that if we head back to Hutchinson Island we will be calling Donna in hopes to stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We have been happily married for 12 years and have two wonderful boys ages 9 and 11. We love to spend time at our beach place every opportunity we have.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We were looking for a private home in Hutchinson Island and fell in love with the community. Although we are still a few years away from retirement, we decided to make Hutchinson Island our retirement home. We have always wanted a home within a short walking distance to the beach, tennis, golf and restaurants.
