Cozy Cottage in the Heart of Sedona- Perfect for Two!
Year Purchased: 2000
Why the Owner Chose Sedona
My husband and I grew up in the Phoenix area, but visited Sedona frequently for picnics and hikes. We got tired of the rat race there and Sedona was a natural choice - great weather and lifestyle, but close tho everything! When we bought our house, there was a guest house on the property which was at that time occupied by a full-time tenant. Once he moved out, we renovated the place and decided to furnish it for our guests from out-of-town. From there, we decided to add it to VRBO and have practically had no vacancies since then! We have a lot of yearly regulars that return to their "home away from home" every year.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
Out guest house is roomy enough for folks to be comfortable for an extended stay, but cozy enough to make everyone feel at home. A full kitchen, which is almost as large as the one in our main house, enables guests to save money on dining during their stay in Sedona. We are located right in the heart of town, so all the local attractions are very close. The layout of the grounds enables guests to enjoy privacy, but we welcome them up to our patio frequently to enjoy our view.
Fabulous landscape and picnic areas, access to Oak Creek - fishing and swimming
Owner's Map of Sedona
I have lived in Arizona since the ripe old age of 3. I love the dry, warm, fresh air and the year-round great climate in Sedona. My husband and I have a German Shepherd dog that is our "baby". She hikes with us throughout the area - and loves it! I sell Real Estate for How2Arizona Realty. Joe, my husband, is a semi-retired pharmacist.

Nice peaceful space! Had everything you need! Very cozy! quiet and comfortable! Thought there would be a view from the cottage based on photos....that was the only thing that awed us.
Owner response:Thanks for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the cottage. Sorry that you misunderstood about the view picture (it does say come up to the main house for a glass of wine). We hope you will come back again.

The perfect casa in the most perfect location. Linda and Joe are wonderful hosts. The location is just down from Tlaquepaque, a walk to a moderate trail head and 5-10 minutes from grocery shopping, restaurants, all hiking. Mountains and red rocks on the street. The casa is adorable. Our second year and booked for next year too! EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS IN THIS HOUSE. And the decor is fantastic! We love Sedona, love this casa and love Joe and Linda. Wish we could move to Sedona but since we can't, this is the next best thing! Great value, beautiful experience!
Owner response:Thanks Jenifer and Daryl! It was great having you, too. I am glad you're planning to return again!

My wife and I spent the month of February 2011 in this lovely cottage. We have stayed in 6 VRBOs in the USA and Europe and this was the best of the best! From the moment we were welcomed by the owners, we knew we were in for a treat. As we walked through the front door, quiet music greeted us. The layout of the home is welcoming and spacious for a one bedroom. The location offered ready access to all parts of the Sedona town site along with its many surrounding attractions and numerous trails for hiking. Our primary purpose in spending the month in Sedona was to hike in that wonder-filled area though we did take several days to visit some of the sights further away such as the Grand Canyon and the old mining town of Jerome. The owners are a wonderful advertisement for this cottage as they express genuine interest in their guests and were always ready to assist in providing helpful information. We found their suggestions and stories of living in the area to be engaging. The cottage has everything one would need: a very functional and fully stocked kitchen, a lovely sitting/livingroom, comfortable dining area, a master bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed, a walk-in closet, and, a bathroom and shower that are adorned with tile work expressive of the owners' artful handiwork. This one bedroom property is a "must stay" for anyone seeking a warm, welcoming and invigorating stay in Sedona.
Owner response:We always try to make our guests feel at home - it is their home for the month they are here!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

Everything about this guest cottage worked perfectly for my husband and I, who spent six weeks there over the holidays. The location is private and quiet, yet central to West Sedona, Uptown, and the village of Oak Creek. A one minute walk down the road took us to a trail up to Airport mesa and one of the vortexes, with a 360 degree view of the area. A two minute walk up the road the other way took us to the creek. The cottage was clean, and decorated beautifully--in warm tones of gold, red, and green. The kitchen was great--we cooked there a lot. But I've saved the best for last--Joe and Linda, who were helpful whenever needed and a fun to spend time with. This was the perfect for retreat for us! We would recommend it to anyone. We recommend the fabulous Sedona hiking trails, a calming and majestic place to walk.
Owner response:We always enjoy meeting new people and have become friends with many of our previous guests!

Perfect is the word for this quaint, beautiful, fully equipped home in Sedona. Centrally located to everything including a walk to the trails, fitness Club, grocery stores, restaurants etc. Linda and Joe are just the best and stock this home with everything including bath robes, fluffy pillows, comfy bed, beautiful decor (pictures don't do justice for the decorating). Great shower and bath, TV, internet access that is free and works even on the porch just outside! Safe, and wonderful area for walks, beautiful surroundings. Wonderful modern kitchen and plently of closet space for long stays! Thanks Joe and Linda for the greatest experience! We are coming back. . . to your place and already booked!
Owner response:Jenifer and Daryl were such great guests, too! We love our VRBO guest rental, as we have come to be friends with many of our guests.

"This is a wonderful place, full of thoughtful touches and sweet surprizes. The bed sheets are so soft and comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped w/ more stuff than in our own home. Brewer Place is definitely one of the best places we ever stayed. It is a wonderful addition to Sedona's beauty. Thank you so much for creating such a place. We'll cherish this memory forever and we'll be back."
