Our home is very spacious with an open floor plan, giving you plenty of room to enjoy and entertain your friends. Every room has ceiling fans circulating the cool summer mountain breezes. All the bedrooms have walk-in closets; the master bedroom is huge with an office area and reading nook for your pleasure. The master bath has his and her sinks, garden tub, and a separate shower area with tub. The other full bath is at the other end of the house and accommodates the other bedrooms. In the living room you can curl up on the futon in front of a beautiful stone gas fireplace for ambiance on those cool winter nights. There is a fully equipped open kitchen with a center island for all your baking and cooking needs. Enjoy the dining room just off the kitchen for those sit down meals with the family and guests. A full laundry room is conveniently located off the kitchen with it's own separate outside entrance and also acts as a mud room.
Outside on the East side of the house is a great grilling deck with easy access thru sliding glass doors to the kitchen, another convenience when you are entertaining guests.
The pole barn with it's own electricity and water makes for a great garage for the toys (ATV's, UTV's, motorcycles, or your family vehicle) in the event of inclement weather or mechanical repairs. There is also a large dog run/pen with shelter when you may have to leave the family pet (dogs only) behind when you're exploring or doing activities that may not include dogs.
The large deck on the West side has plenty of deck furniture and a picnic table for all your seating arrangements and makes for a great viewing platform for those spectacular views that are jaw dropping and will render you speechless. Also a great sunbathing area as the sun shines on the West side beginning early in the AM until the sun goes down in the late PM. And last, but not least, after a long day of activities and exploration, unwind with a fine glass of chardonnay or something...to the most incredible tapestry of sunsets you'll talk about long after your vacation.

The deck had a fantastic view! The house itself was average. Black and white tv, no hair dryer, a very nice master bath and very secluded feeling. We also had to wait around town to get keys to the house.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: I am sorry you felt you had to wait around town; I do my best to be available if I am notified with an ETA the day before our guests' arrival. I will check on the TV, it is SUPPOSED to be color? And, there should have been hair dryers in the bathrooms too! Thanks for your feedback; we will check on those items. And last, so glad you did enjoy the views and the deck; I hope you will try us again and stay at "SpiritDancer" in the future.

Stayed at Spirit Dancer for two days and nights. The property was clean and well-cared for. The property manager was extremely helpful and kind. The views or the far mountains were breath-taking. It was a short drive into Buena Vista for supplies. Even in February it was nice enough on the deck to sit out in the anti-gravity chairs and enjoy the views. Property was as advertised.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About: Our travels (driving from Virginia) encompassed several mountain states, many, many towns, thousands and thousands of miles over the years as destinations for our vacations. We soon discovered we were falling in love with the scenery, the wildlife, the beauty of the mountains, the valleys, the vastness and the peacefulness. Five years later we made the decision to buy a 2nd home/vacation home as it just made sense with all the time we spend in the west. Based on our decision we had to decide where. After careful consideration, research and information gathering, (weather, people and things to do etc.) it was clear that our choice would be Buena Vista, Colorado in the Arkansas Valley. We now want to share our home so that one day you may make this same journey as life doesn't get much better than this.

Sunrises and sunsets are truly breathtaking from your own private 864 sq. ft. deck as the scenery is beyond words.
