This property was great all around. Close to very good restaurants, bars and shopping, and as a New Yorker, it was fun to get around on foot. Nice views on both the mountain side and on the beach. The apartment itself was clean with lots of towels and kitchen utensils. And Lisa was very helpful - making sure I received the wireless unit I left behind. First time using VRBO and it was a great experience. The unit was just as described, clean and ready for us. One of the simplest vacations I have been on in a long time. Owner answered my questions and promptly refunded our deposit. I would recommend the property to anyone looking for a clean safe place to stay in Lahaina at a bargain price. On site staff were great, beach is literally at the property line. You can walk downtown, sit by the pool or wander the beach. If you go downtown stop in at Captain Jacks - a second story bar in where you can people watch, receive good food and great service. There are also several places to eat right next door if you want to stay close.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Lahaina Shores. The efficiency condo was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck listening to the birds watching the clouds move in over the mountains. The kitchen was great, we split time cooking and eating out and loved having grills to use near the pool. The location was great too, easy access to the beach and a short walk to the restaurants and shops downtown. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Our first trip to Maui and our first time using VRBO. This unit was everything promised: clean, comfortable and all provisions ready for our arrival. A great location for just sitting by the pool or on the beach watching whales, cruise ship activity and ocean traffic. Beach area is great for swimming. Ideally located for walking to downtown Front Street shops restaurants and sight seeing. Hotel staff are extremely helpful and polite. We rented a car to get around the island and found overnight parking charges reasonable. For first timers: Driving is generally slow paced and directions are easy to follow. Bottom line: We would book again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Lahaina Shores Beach Resort is the best place to stay in Lahaina! Ocean front, shopping close by and the best restaurants within walking distance! The resort is nicely decorated and has a great pool just outside the doors.The pictures on the website are accurate and the owner did a great job answering all my questions. Great for families, couples or singles.The studio room was clean and comfortable and nicely stocked with towels, dishes,etc. Definitely returning next year and the year after that and the year after that.....Our favorite thing to do is whale watching and the harbor is just steps down the beach.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
