This authentic and elegant N'awlins Home, which sleeps four in perfect comfort, is a block away from the entrance to the Fairgrounds of Jazz Fest and during the festival comes with a VIP parking pass to enter the neighborhood. Very convenient during the sunny festival to come home and rest/recuperate, avoiding all hassles and expenses with taxis, etc. What's more the house is gorgeous, with a wrap around porch, storybook master bedroom, 'Havana room' in art-deco style, and a lovely outdoor area for barbecues, etc.
Our place is an ideal location for Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, and the Superbowl.
The house has modern, comfortable furnishings, wide screen tv, sonos sound system, a gorgeous wrap around porch with hammock, plants and fountain, a storybook master bedroom with the most comfortable mattress that $ can buy, a Jacuzzi bath, and a lovely, verdant outdoor area for sipping wine amid the roses and Christmas lights or for grilling, etc.
All amenities in the house including full kitchen and High Speed Internet. My lovely wife and I exercise the utmost respect for your privacy, yet we can be enthusiastically on hand if you want us to assist you and inform you in every possible way about our favorite city in the world: New Orleans. Free Salsa and Swing Lessons available upon request. :) Includes breakfast and anything else we can do to make you feel at home.
Arrangements can be made to accommodate anywhere from one to eight people.
Please note that we do not rent the rooms separately. If you rent only the guest room, the master bedroom will not be rented to another traveler. Please note however that the owner may be or may not be staying in the house depending upon your needs and desires. We rent either one room or the entire house. We are generally only interested in renting the whole house on weekends.
Please just let me know what sort of arrangement you are looking for so that we can accommodate your needs. The prices we list already include all charges (hotels charge another 20% on top of their price). Plus, with us you'll get a real house in the best neighborhood, along the river, in all its natural NOLA-ness. Look forward to meeting you and having you stay with us.
House rules are very flexible and made to accommodate you. We are happy to help you when you need it, but also happy to respect your privacy. Depending upon your needs, we are happy to rent part of the house or all of it. Comfort, style, and high speed internet. I hope you will feel free and comfortable to consider us your best friends and neighbors in the Big Easy. Mi casa, tu casa.
Easy off street parking,and from here, within five minutes, you can be anywhere in the city by car. Public transport from our neighborhood is quite good, but you do have to take notice of the schedule. Buses leave once every half hour. Streetcars, which we often take just for fun, leave once every seven minutes on weekdays and once every half hour on weekends. We are two blocks from the bus line and three blocks from the streetcar line. If you do find the public transport inadequate from our location, just let us know, and we will gladly take you where you need to go.

About the owner: I am an English professor at the local university, but have lived all over the world. My wife is Cuban. I speak fluent French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian, so feel free to communicate with me in any of those languages. We love to travel, eat well, and have a good time, among the many reasons why we love our city of New Orleans where you are welcome!
Why the Owner Chose Mid-City:
As we got to know the city, this was the neighborhood and the house that we fell in love with. A brand new house with New Orleans timeless style in the center of everything in Mid-city, right next to City Park and very close to the Marigny and the Quarter. Faubourg St. John is the epitomy of N'awlins charm.
