In June of 2011 we were fortunate enough to be able to spend 8 days at this spectacular home. It is a week we will cherish the rest of our lives. As frequent visitors to the island we usually spend many hours exploring the island but my family enjoyed the property so much that we rarely left. We awoke to breakfast on the lanai, played croquet for hours, listened to the surf, watched surfers and enjoyed the beautiful views for hours on end. Our home cooked meals were fantastic as we used the wonderful grill on site. We hope to have the opportunity to enjoy this piece of heavan in the future. · By Patty and Ken Edwards from Indianapolis, IN on 10/9/2011Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We took our whole family to celebrate our youngest daughter's graduation from medical school. We all throughly enjoyed this fantastic property for two weeks. We have stayed at many exclusive resorts and this property ranked right up there with the best. The grounds and the views are magnificent. We'd all go back again, in a heart beat and plan to do so in the future if we are able. · By Sonny Milne from Calgary, Alberta Canada on 10/13/2011Did you find this review helpful? Ka Lae Kiki is really our favorite place to stay outside of our own home. When we are there, we find we don't really want to go anywhere else. We just hang out, cook at home and enjoy every second in "our Hawaii home." It is a great value if you fill up the house but a little pricey for one or two couples, although we have done that and it was worth it to us. If you are going to be exploring out every day for most of the day, stay somewhere else in a condo, but if you are in Kauai to relax and enjoy the view, the sounds and each other, this place is perfect. · By waygallo from California on 10/14/2011Did you find this review helpful? We stayed at Ka Lae Kiki with our children and their children this past year. We have been there several other times. It is the perfect place for a family vacation or vacation with friends. We love the pool, sitting outside for sunsets and the large lawn that is perfect for little ones. It has a great kitchen for cooking for a large group. And yes, we are going back! · By Dede from Camarillo, Ca on 11/2/2011 for a stay in 2/1/2011Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

If you ever wondered what heaven was like...wonder no more. Ka Lae Kiki is heaven on earth. You can actually feel the aloha spirit! Once arriving we never wanted to leave, even to go out to dinner! We had 8 adults and no one's privacy was ever compromised. The views, furnishings and surroundings are amazing. We didn't think we would spend much time in the sea water pool and as it turned out, we couldn't get out. Even my 80 year old mother floated for hours and loved it! We are planning to return as much as possible. One of the saddest days of our lives was the day we had to leave Ka Lae Kiki behind! With warm aloha, Jeff and MarjaDid you find this review helpful? About the owner: Our family is from Palos Verdes, Ca. Ka Lae Kiki has been in our family for over 55 years. When hurricane Iwa destroyed our home, we rebuilt our beautiful new Ka Lae Kiki in 2001. While we miss spending our summers on Kauai, we love sharing with others, knowing that they will have a more memorable vacation than they imagined. Ka Lae Kiki stays occupied with guests year round, with approximately 50 % of our guests being repeat travelers.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
There is simply no more beautiful or unique property on Kauai. Originally a three acres with over 600 feet of shoreline, Ka Lae Kiki is now a jewell acre on the southern point of the island, with one of Hawaii's only salt water pools and the largest ocean front lawn area on the south side of the island. So many reasons why we bought, and so many reasons why we re-built and remain enchanted !
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Words won't work here. One only need read the reviews or check the photos to get a glimpse. But Ka Lae Kiki is more than could ever be conveyed on the internet. One must walk in the front door, feel the trade breezes and view the ocean vista beyond to truly know Ka Lae Kiki.
