This uniquely decorated, 3 bedroom ocean front cottage is 2 blocks from the restaurants, shops and pier of the town of Folly Beach. Charleston is an easy 20 minute drive away. The first floor boasts a large family room / kitchen with a stunning view of the ocean on 3 sides. There are 4 distinct seating areas for dining, playing boards games, TV viewing and reading. First floor also includes a queen bedroom, full bath and laundry area. On the second floor are two bedrooms -- one with 2 twins, the other with a queen -- and a full hall bath. A deck off the queen bedroom features a lounge, table & chairs and a magnificent view of the ocean and pier. Outside are a large gated deck, complete with rocking chairs and table & chairs. The beach is a few strides down the private walkway. Underneath the cottage is an enclosed shower and parking for 2 cars. There are 4 cable TVs (1 with DVD)and wireless internet, central AC / heat.

Being from the Northeast, where the beaches are cold and rocky and the ocean is filled with seaweed, this is an ideal place for an unforgettable family beach retreat. Folly Beach is located on a barrier island with a classic small beach village and is only 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston. It is a "no-pressure" village with quaint surf shops and lively restraurants. And, for lighthouse lovers, at the far north end of the island is a great view of the Morris Island Light House. Folly is a great choice for good food, good drinks, amazing beach and close proximity to unlimited history! The interior of this cottage looks great online and is just as good in person.Plenty of space, very clean, gorgeous floors and a graceous kitchen/dining/living area. The house is well equipped with all the modern comforts of home. It is low maintenance and easy to adjust to. All the controls are simple - from the kitchen appliances to the TV's to the showers. This is a true oceanfront property. There is nothing quite as relaxing as sitting on the deck, watching the ebb and flow of the ocean, smelling the salt air and allow the crashing of the waves to soothe your nerves. From the cottage, you can step down from front porch and walk right out onto the beach. The beach is wide and abundant in sand - great for walking, jogging, frisbee, beach volleyball or sunbathing. It is just a short walk down the beach to the Folly Beach pier where you can find bait and tackle for fishing in the deep water or beach bike rentals. There are also surfboard and paddleboard or kayak rentals for the waterbound. Overall, this is a fantastic vacation home in a very pleasant location. We will definately return year after year so we can watch our children grow up ON THE BEACH!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Other Folly Beach Properties:
The property is within walking distance to town so we feel like we are at the beach but not in a remote area. One of us is a native New Yorker so he feels at home in the action. The house is elegantly decorated in an eclectic Eastern style yet right on the beach in SC. GREAT layout -- house is not too big but there is room for everyone and everybody's activities.
