Very Clean Cottage on beautiful South Lake Leelanau.
This updated cottage is in the heart of Leelanau County on the shores of South Lake Leelanau. We are approximately 25 minutes from downtown Traverse City, minutes from the towns of Lake Leelanau and Cedar, a short drive to many other small towns and Parks to include: Leland, Suttons Bay, Glen Arbor, Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear Dunes and the National Lakeshore.
The cottage home clean, has three bedrooms (One Queen and two full-sized beds) and two full baths. A breathtaking panoramic view from the large screened sunroom of South Lake Leelanau is made more spectacular by the fact that the property sits next to a large farm with rolling terrain. The fully-equipped kitchen (stove, refrigerator, microwave, all cooking and eating utensils) has an eating nook and adjoining dining room. The large family room leads to the sunroom. This cottage has over 1200 square feet of living space!! A weber charcoal grill is also available for your use.
The property has an expansive lawn and 100 ft. of private lake frontage. South Lake Leelanau is a clean, clear, large, all-sports lake that is not busy. The lawn sweeps down to the water's edge and the lake has a hard sandy bottom with some rocks, is shallow, and great for swimming. A large deck at the waters edge creates the perfect place to lounge and has steps down to the dock. South Lake Leelanau connects to North Lake Leelanau, and one can travel by boat all the way to Leland for dining and shopping.
Nearby (less than 30 minutes): Sleeping Bear Dunes (and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore), Lake Michigan, several golf courses, Leelanau Sands Casino, many wineries, art galleries, towns of Cedar, Lake Leelanau, Suttons Bay, Leland, Traverse City, Glen Arbor, Northport, and many other area attractions. Dining and shopping are abundant in this resort area of Michigan!! There is great fishing on Lake Leelanau as well (perch, walleye, rock bass, small mouth bass, etc).
The rolling country roads, the roads that circle the lake, the Traverse Area Recreation Trail (TART), the Leelanau trail and numerous parks with trails makes this area very popular for road biking, hiking, enjoying fall colors and other outdoor activities. Please ask about the areas many premier sporting events to inclde: bike tours, road races, area running races, and the local art fares, festivals and wine tours.
This cottage is perfect for vacations from early spring to late fall!!
FAMILY or larger groups may be accomodated by our cottage and our neighbor's. Call or send and email to inquire!!

Why the Owner Chose Lake Leelanau
We chose this location because of the beautiful lake. Since we are local, we have visited every area lake and found this to be the one we enjoy the most. The property has a peaceful setting, beautiful panoramic view, and the lake is clean, clear and all sports. It is never busy, even on the 4th of July. Also, the surrounding communities all are excellent towns with charming shops, resturants and a variety of summer festivals.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage Home
Just a short drive away are beautiful wineries, National Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakshore, and many, many outdoor pursuits (kayaking, biking, fishing, etc).
