RENT WITH CAUTION!!!!

it was suggested that i write a review..so here goes! the house IS nicely decorated but lets face it for this money any house in ocean lakes should be nice. whats more important is the accomodations, the house has ants, yes ants and when i mentioned it to the owner she never offered to provide bug spray..i bought it myself. AND unfortunately we were hit in the back on the golf cart by some careless kids, my 68 yr old mother flew foward and cracked the windshield, not to mention her side (she had a terrible bruise for days) but did the owner even ask how everyone was???? no, her first comments were only about the cost to replace it.we left the house immaculate and now 3 weeks later i receive a invoice for the windshield ..trust me...i wont ever rent from them again. a house, is a house, is a house. but making the renter feel accomadated is worth far more than nice beach decor!!!!

Owner response:Unfortunately these renters had an accident on the golf cart.The proper way to handle it would be like any other accident, call security(it's available 24-7 and on eveery corner)make a report (in return the other party would have been responsible for the windshield) but she didn't do this.She did call and tell me about the accident and I did ask if her mother and daughter that was riding on the back was o.k. The windshield was completely broken out & couldn't be repaired. And yes I withheld the money from her security deposit to replace the windshield and returned the balance. The cover sheet of her contract stated that the security deposit would be refunded in about "3 weeks" if no damage was done to the house or cart, I guess she overlooked that statement. The house was left clean & I do appriciate that, she found it clean, and she was suppose to leave it clean. Now to the ants,she called me on Tuesday morning to say she had a few ant's under the toaster oven but she was going out of the park and would pick up spray herself. Housekeeping would have been glad to come by and sprayed for her. My house is sprayed monthly for ants and pest. And a house may be a house, may be a house, BUT THIS IS MY HOUSE!!! and I try to take care of it and my cart. I try to reply promptly to all calls and always have my cell phone on me. But in the end the windshield had to be replaced for my next guest. I guess she thought she shouldn't have had to pay for it, and this negative review is her way of handling it.

Great place to stay very clean and suprisingly nice. Would recomend for anyone. Great owners to deal with that always make their selfs available if you call with a question.

I stayed a month in this house. It was great. The house is very clean, well decorated, and has everything I needed and wanted. Loved having access to a washed and dryer and I used the golf cart daily. Jan also was very helpful and very gracious hostess.

I had the opportunity to stay here for my vacation last year. I thought this was the most cutest house I had ever seen. It was very cozy and very clean. I had no problems whatsoever with anything. My husband enjoyed the outdoor shower very much. The owner was very sweet, very professional, and very accommodating. Everything we needed was within "golf cart" distance. I can't wait to go back this year!

No need for caution as the review above states ....we have rented from Jan for the past few winters and found her to be more than helpful. you can't please everyone all the time.

Our family had a wonderful time staying in your house over the 4th of July this year. Your house was beautifully decorated. It was great having tv's in every room because when the kids wanted to watch something they went to their room. Again thanks so much for letting us enjoy your house.
