WAIKOLOA COLONY VILLAS... LUXURY, PRESTIGE, and RESORT AMENITIES
At our Villa, Hale Kaikaina, we look forward to welcoming you! In a private corner of the complex, you will have views of the Kohala Mountains, Waimea, and the Waimea Valley, as well as a distant view of the sparkling Pacific Ocean.
Waikoloa Colony Villas is a private gated community of luxury townhomes on the South Kohala Coast within the world-renown Waikoloa Beach Resort; the sun shines an average of 350 days/yr! The prestigious Hilton Waikoloa and Waikoloa Marriot Resort are just steps away.
The complex offers ample guest parking, landscaped courtyards, a clubhouse and exercise room. The two-story units are side-by-side; each building has six villas and are a lovely Hawaiian-styled design with lattice redwood entryway accents.
Our Villa has two bedrooms and two baths plus lanais--perfect for families vacationing, couples traveling together or honeymooners.
CASUAL AND COMFORTABLE DÉCOR - Our Villa combines casual yet upscale furniture with an island flavor and whimsical touches. There are warm inviting colors in the living and dining area downstairs. The kitchen has European cabinetry and granite countertops.
Ceiling fans in the living area, as well as in the bedrooms, help keep the pacific breezes moving, or on those really tropical days use the air-conditioning. A digital video recorder allows you to replay at your convenience any television programs you may have missed while you were playing golf or exploring the island.
The dramatic 17-foot vaulted ceiling in the living area accentuates the ceiling-high windows that looks out on the lava flow with the Mauna Lanai golf course and ocean beyond. Nine-foot ceilings provide an airy feeling throughout the Villa. High Speed Internet/DSL access enables you to keep in touch, and for entertainment there are three TV's, and two DVDs. See our amenities listed below.
Our kitchen is open to the dining and living area and invites everyone to enjoy your gourmet efforts in a well-appointed kitchen. You will find fresh ingredients at the Kona Farmers’ Market year-round in Kailua-Kona on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Master Bedroom is upstairs and has a luxurious king-sized bed waiting for you. From the bed you have fabulous views of the Kohala Mountains and the Waimea Valley, and the upstairs lanai provides you with a spot to retreat.
The Japanese floral quilt in bright yet soothing colors is complemented by the art on the walls, and the maple-wood furniture gives the room a very open and airy feel. The master bath features marble counters, twin sinks, a soaking tub and separate shower, and walk-in closet.
Separated from the living area on the main floor, the second bedroom affords great privacy. Decorated in Alexander Julian's eye for blues and lavenders, the result is a delightful feeling of warmth. There are two twin beds and a bath with tub and shower. A comfortable queen sofa bed in the living room expands your guest accommodations.
THERE ARE DIFFERENCES! When you rent a unit, you may not get all you want. Our unit has: full cable including HBO, & ESPN with TIVO-like capabilities, & cable modem access for your computer. We offer a television in each bedroom and the family room.
We have fans in each bedroom AND in the family room to stir the tropical breezes, as well as a stereo radio/CD player. Available for your use are: snorkel/masks, boogie board, ice cooler, beach chairs, beach umbrella, games, books, and tennis racquets.
ACTIVITIES: TWO POOLS, SPA, GOLF, TENNIS, OCEAN SPORTS, AND MORE.
When staying in our Villa you can step outside the front door and play tennis or walk across the street to work out in the air-conditioned fitness center. The pool with a lava rock waterfall and Jacuzzi-type spa is right next door and is pictured below.
Two golf courses are available at the Waikoloa Beach Resort; the Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and the King’s Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf.
Several other world-class golf courses are nearby, including: the Mauna Lani course, host of many past Senior Skins Games with its signature over-the-water 15th hole; the Mauna Kea (a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course); and Hapuna Beach designed by Arnold Palmer.
The public beach at Anaeho’omalu Bay or "A-Bay" winds you through beautiful native fauna and past ancient royal fishponds. The sandy beach offers snorkeling, windsurfing & kayaking. Or relax under a palm tree and read a book in one of the hammocks.
Nearby at the Waikoloa Hilton Beach Resort you can swim with the dolphins or paddle a 2-person boat around their lagoon. Upon availability Camp Menehune is available to non-Hilton guests and offers activities for the younger set so that you can have a grown up adventure or just enjoy a day to yourself.
The Waikoloa Colony Villas are a part of the Waikoloa Beach Resort that is 20 minutes north of the Kona Airport. 5 min. from your villa, the Kings’ Shops offer unique shopping in art galleries, gift stores and gourmet restaurants overlooking the lake, hula performances and live Hawaiian music.
The Puako Petroglyph Archaeological Preserve is outside your Villa’s lanai door.
THE MEMORIES YOU MAKE HERE WILL LAST A LIFETIME! Long-Term rentals negotiable.
We remind you that our Villa is strictly NO-SMOKING and while we love pets, unfortunately pets are NOT ALLOWED at the Waikoloa Colony Villas.

Why the Owner Chose Waikoloa Colony Villas
We chose the Waikoloa Colony Villas because of the residential feel of this complex. The units are not stacked on top of each other-they are side by side--and the entire complex sits on 22 acres--the landscaping is amazing. The Villas are designed so that they only share common walls at the garages.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
With two pools (there is a toddler pool as well), a tennis court, walking paths, exercise room, and meeting room, the Waikoloa Colony Villas is a wonderful complex for families, couples, singles, young and old. The complex is very new and is close to the Kings' Shops and Queens' Marketplace of the Waikoloa Resort. We also liked the proximity to many of the Top Ten Beaches of the World from the Travel Channel's selection!
Shopping, dining, food court, gourmet marketplace, movies under the stars, concerts, luaus, free performances
Dolphin Quest Experience, lagoons, slides--a day of exploring this wonderful hotel

Just got home from Kona yesterday… sad day… But wanted to let you know that really enjoyed your condo, we have stayed at both Colony Villas and Hali'i Kai condos before and yours is one of the nicest units we have been in so far. We found your place one we would definitely want to return to, as it was nicely done inside and equipped to feel that you were not just in a rental, as some units are. With a very nice selection of beach stuff, in great condition, and having some spices, sauces and other small items available make it so much better. We would definitely recommend your unit to others and appreciate all your help.

Thank you for the wonderful accommodations for our stay! It certainly saved us quite a bit of money to be able to "eat in". I'm hoping to run into one of the house cleaners or a neighbor to see if they want our last 4 eggs we have available. I would have made banana bread with our remaining bananas and eggs, but there is no baking soda here and I was too lazy to run to the market to buy some. :) We're also leaving behind 3 can of Coors, which my husband thought he wanted. Unfortunately, a few days of strong trade winds caused his head to become bothered and thus, the beer caused too many problems for him. There's also about 5 bottles of unopened water in the fridge as well, for the next occupants. We loved having access to the coolers, chairs, towels, and mats for the beach. There were some great days for snorkeling (rented our gear at Millers for a week at a great price!) during our times here, and having quick access to cold water was so helpful. I even had the privilege of snorkeling with four Manta Rays one day at Beach 69! No reason to spend money for some overpriced company offering this adventure, right? They were right there and it was a tremendous experience! Our flight leaves at 9 tonight and we'll spend the remainder of our day exploring Kona a bit, returning our snorkel gear and then to head to Hilo to grab an early evening meal at Hilo Burger Joint (loved this place!). I just wanted to say thank you again. I already have island fever and I haven't even left yet!

We stayed in this condo for 8 nites in June '11 and had an excellent time. The condo comes VERY well equiped with higher end ammenities as well as beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels and sand toys for kids. Tennis eqpt is also available for players. Staying in a condo sure beats hotel stays. Quiet, peaceful and close to many beaches, hiking locations and just hanging out.

Amy - Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your beautiful condo. Everything you needed was right there. Beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, etc. There are so many beautiful beaches close by. We got up close and personal to a whale and her baby on our kayak trip to Capt. Cooks Bay (Kealakekua Bay). A once in a lifetime experience! We also experienced a tsunami evacuation. I hope to be back soon. Thanks again!

This condo served as a wonderfully peaceful getaway for my family and me during Christmas, 2008. Location means so much; this complex was built with families in mind. It's accessibility to everything from the beach to cattle country and Volcano National Park is perfect. The condo iteself is nicely furnished, beds are comfortable and there's room to move around. The most atractive part of the deal is the owner. Amy is quick to answer email and willing to share pertinent information that will make your stay much more enjoyable. Our Christmas experience assures me that we will rent from Amy again.

Amy, Thanks for letting us us your house last week (Feb. 21-28, 2008). There were two adult couples in our group and everything with your unit was just perfect! Loved it's location as it was near the BBQ for our evening cookouts of shrimp, Mahi-Mahi and rib-eye steaks. We walked around and visited the Hilton & Outrigger grounds along with a few of the other villas and we are so glad we stayed at yours. No construction work was happening behind the unit so each morning we'd sit and have a quiet breakfast on the patio. We'd load up the cooler each morning and headed out to see the sights. We enjoyed the northern part of the island (north of Hilo and Kona) the most. We appreciated the advice you gave us along the way. We'll recommend your place to others. Mahalo!

Amy: Just wanted to thank you again for setting us up with such a great place to stay in Hawaii. We had a wonderful vacation, really enjoyed discovering new beaches almost every day. The condo/townhouse was ideal, just the perfect home base, and you had it equipped with everything we could have possibly needed.
