Just got home from Kona yesterday… sad day… But wanted to let you know that really enjoyed your condo, we have stayed at both Colony Villas and Hali'i Kai condos before and yours is one of the nicest units we have been in so far. We found your place one we would definitely want to return to, as it was nicely done inside and equipped to feel that you were not just in a rental, as some units are. With a very nice selection of beach stuff, in great condition, and having some spices, sauces and other small items available make it so much better. We would definitely recommend your unit to others and appreciate all your help.

Thank you for the wonderful accommodations for our stay! It certainly saved us quite a bit of money to be able to "eat in". I'm hoping to run into one of the house cleaners or a neighbor to see if they want our last 4 eggs we have available. I would have made banana bread with our remaining bananas and eggs, but there is no baking soda here and I was too lazy to run to the market to buy some. :) We're also leaving behind 3 can of Coors, which my husband thought he wanted. Unfortunately, a few days of strong trade winds caused his head to become bothered and thus, the beer caused too many problems for him. There's also about 5 bottles of unopened water in the fridge as well, for the next occupants. We loved having access to the coolers, chairs, towels, and mats for the beach. There were some great days for snorkeling (rented our gear at Millers for a week at a great price!) during our times here, and having quick access to cold water was so helpful. I even had the privilege of snorkeling with four Manta Rays one day at Beach 69! No reason to spend money for some overpriced company offering this adventure, right? They were right there and it was a tremendous experience! Our flight leaves at 9 tonight and we'll spend the remainder of our day exploring Kona a bit, returning our snorkel gear and then to head to Hilo to grab an early evening meal at Hilo Burger Joint (loved this place!). I just wanted to say thank you again. I already have island fever and I haven't even left yet!

We stayed in this condo for 8 nites in June '11 and had an excellent time. The condo comes VERY well equiped with higher end ammenities as well as beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels and sand toys for kids. Tennis eqpt is also available for players. Staying in a condo sure beats hotel stays. Quiet, peaceful and close to many beaches, hiking locations and just hanging out.

Amy - Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your beautiful condo. Everything you needed was right there. Beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, etc. There are so many beautiful beaches close by. We got up close and personal to a whale and her baby on our kayak trip to Capt. Cooks Bay (Kealakekua Bay). A once in a lifetime experience! We also experienced a tsunami evacuation. I hope to be back soon. Thanks again!

This condo served as a wonderfully peaceful getaway for my family and me during Christmas, 2008. Location means so much; this complex was built with families in mind. It's accessibility to everything from the beach to cattle country and Volcano National Park is perfect. The condo iteself is nicely furnished, beds are comfortable and there's room to move around. The most atractive part of the deal is the owner. Amy is quick to answer email and willing to share pertinent information that will make your stay much more enjoyable. Our Christmas experience assures me that we will rent from Amy again.

Amy, Thanks for letting us us your house last week (Feb. 21-28, 2008). There were two adult couples in our group and everything with your unit was just perfect! Loved it's location as it was near the BBQ for our evening cookouts of shrimp, Mahi-Mahi and rib-eye steaks. We walked around and visited the Hilton & Outrigger grounds along with a few of the other villas and we are so glad we stayed at yours. No construction work was happening behind the unit so each morning we'd sit and have a quiet breakfast on the patio. We'd load up the cooler each morning and headed out to see the sights. We enjoyed the northern part of the island (north of Hilo and Kona) the most. We appreciated the advice you gave us along the way. We'll recommend your place to others. Mahalo!

Amy: Just wanted to thank you again for setting us up with such a great place to stay in Hawaii. We had a wonderful vacation, really enjoyed discovering new beaches almost every day. The condo/townhouse was ideal, just the perfect home base, and you had it equipped with everything we could have possibly needed.

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Waikoloa area. Our group consisted of 2 couples and 2 two-year-olds and having all of the beach necessities was fabulous (rolling cooler, beach floats, sand toys, umbrella, chairs, towels). All we brought was our snorkel gear. The housekeeper had the downstairs bedroom made up as a King and the bed was quite comfortable. The layout of the condo is great, especially the family room/kitchen area and the lanai which opens up to a large (shared)lawn area. This condo is close to the main pool with the lava rock waterfalls and BBQs but the other 'kiddie' pool in the complex is great too, especially for the toddlers. We cooked almost every night in the well equipped kitchen after a shopping trip to Costco. The owner is friendly to deal with and quick to respond to emails. This is a great place. Thanks Amy!

Hi Amy, Thanks for the message, but I don't want to be back home!! I wanted to send you a message and thank you for use of your villa. We absolutely loved the accommodation. There was plenty of room for all of us, it was extremely clean and the kids (and adults too) were so excited with your closet of beach toys. I do have to say it was one of the nicest, if not the nicest, place I have stayed in and I do hope to make it back again; even with the 10 hours of flight time. I am going to pass along your contact information to friends of mine that live on the island. They tend to have lots of visitors and they were extremely impressed with the villa as well. We returned on Saturday morning and I'm still suffering from the 6 hour time change. Mahalo Adriana

Aloha Amy, Your place is so perfect for a great and relaxing vacation. Everything you can think of one would need is there for guests use. I especially appreciated the great bath and beach towels. They are so nice and cozy, not like the standard white, scratchy hotel towels. Your place truly makes one feel like they are at home when staying there. The condo and the grounds are so clean and beautiful. The location is really perfect for wherever one wants to sight see on the Island, and all the best beaches are within a 5-15 minute drive. Last but not least is all the great tips and Island secrets you let trevelers in on, really helps a great deal to one that has never traveled the Big Island. Thanks again for a great place and all your help.

We were fortunate enough to get to spend an entire month in this lovely condo. We have stayed in many condos over the years, and this is definitely the best equipped ever. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare a gourmet meal; there are sports items galore (tennis racquets, beach chairs, beach towels, snorkle masks, etc). We couldn't have found a better place. If you go, be sure to read the guestbook for great tips on beaches, restaurants, etc. Also, be sure to take advantage of what the Hilton has to offer (dolphins, trams, boats, etc). It's an easy walk from the condo. We're hoping to return next year. Bill and Barb White Eatonton, GA

We had another wonderful month in your condo--same as last year. We're beginning to feel like it is our second home. You have so many amenities that we wouldn't have in a condo managed by a corporation. The kitchen has everything to prepare a gourmet meal, the beds are super comfortable, you have such great beach equipment, tennis racquets, games, movies, music, etc. It's hard to to everything while we're there. Your proximity to the Hilton makes it a great place to walk along the ocean and their little wedding chapel is a unique place attend church. After coming back the second year, we have fallen even more in love with the "Big Island" and your condo and hope to come again soon.

Aloha Amy Had a fantastic time. You have a really nice property there. It was nice to go and sit by the pool and read, swim or sit in the hot tub. We also got into the habit of having cocktails at the Hilton of an evening, very relaxing. We went into Kona a couple of times and were glad we opted not to stay there as it was very commercialised which we do not like. Your place is more homey and nicely situated in relation to the surrounding facilities, meaning they were close enough to walk to but did not impact on the ambience of the place. We have over the years rented a large number of houses around the US and yours has been far the best equipped we have ever had the pleasure to rent. Mahalo Linda & Derek

This fabulous condo will make YOUR visit to The Big Island even more wonderful! The condo is very attractively decorated and VERY well stocked. The location is superb and the amenities at the complex are plentiful. The owners are most helpful and cooperative and have thought of everything to make your vacation a wonderful experience. I cannot rave enough about this rental property and would be happy to answer any questions you may have about it.

Where to start? It was wonderful having your condo as a "home" for my vacation. It's truly beautiful, comfortable, and ideally located for forays around the island. We started the day on the lanai, having coffee and watching the sun come up and then headed out for adventures. I recommend Ocean Sports at "A" Bay for the glass bottomed boat, the catamaran snorkeling trip, and for just renting equipment to go snorkeling around "A" Bay. They were super-nice to a complete novice in the water! If people want to see the tropical side of the island, then they should see the Botanical Gardens north of Hilo. They're fabulous. The volcano is fantastic too. More locally, the Hawaiian presentations and performances at the King's Shops were fun and informative. I can't think of anything that could have made the vacation better. Thank you!!!

Just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful time on the Big Island and loved your comfortable, airy, newly built, nicely decorated condo. We felt so at home there, it was just so difficult to leave. Thanks so much for letting us leave late...it allowed us to take advantage of that beautiful pool again. I've told a number of people about our vacation and how your location was perfect and we would want to stay there again. We've been to other condos but yours was so family-friendly, instructions on the pineapple slicer, recommendations and maps in your binder, huge walk in closet upstairs, walking distance to the Hilton and Kings course and minutes away from several of the most pristine beaches in the world. Steve commended me several times for finding your place and even went to an open house of one of the other units. I bet they've appreciated a lot since you bought them. He raved about how nice the bbq worked over by the pool. The kids loved the tv in their room and the waterfall pool just steps away; Just wish we had more time...we never got a chance to play tennis even though it's right outside!

What a wonderful visit we had at your lovely villa! Our two weeks flew by, and we couldn't have had better weather for our stay. Your villa is roomy and comfortable (perfect for our family of four), and we loved the private location of the unit. We also loved the convenience to the pool (close, but not too close!). The variety of restaurants nearby is incredible (our favorites were Roy's in King's Shops, and Imari for teppanyaki in the Hilton), we never got tired of trying new places. My husband is an avid bicyclist, and he enjoyed getting up and riding all over the island, the cycling is wonderful! We also enjoyed hiking to the active lava, and horseback riding with Paniolo Adventures. Of course, our favorite days include hanging out and boogie boarding at Hapuna Beach, a lovely place ten minutes away! Your unit was a perfect homebase for everything, and we'll be back!

We had a fabulous time! The trade winds were blowing hard and we had some rain but we were always able to find sunshine and fun somewhere on the island. This year, we were lucky to hook up with an old Hawaiian taro farmer. He took us down to Waipio valley and showed us his taro farm. I think that was the highlight, for me anyways. Thank you for the rental of your gorgeous unit. We looked into a few of the units that were holding open houses, and yours was by far the most welcoming. Painting the walls was a great idea. Your unit was spotless and well appointed. Thank you for adding the coffee and cookies. The kids played some of the games in the closet, and they loved the TV in the living room with all the channels and stuff that it could do.Thanks again, the next time we plan to visit the Big Island we will give you a call. We wish you much success renting out your unit. I’m sure once people realize all the great things you and the Waikoloa Villas have to offer you will be booked solid.AlohaTrish & Ian

We had such a wonderful time. We had never been away from home for a month before and had reservations about getting homesick. It didn't happen. Your condo is so nicely decorated, well-equipped, and comfortable that we hate to leave. The location is so nice in that we walked to the King Shops and the Hilton almost every day. There is so much to do here and everything is so convenient. We will definitely recommend your condo to any of our friends who are coming this way and hopefully, we'll make it back next year. Aloha Amy, Everything was great! Your villa was perfect for Walt and me and our son and his wife. The walk was fine to the Hilton (oops...a few souvenir Hilton beach towels c/o Ben). We loved the proximity to the pool and rec. center. and your villa was nicely decorated as well as comfortable w/ the approp amenities. But I ditto Walt in saying that we loved the location, privacy, comfortableness, and we would stay there again. We were disappointed to find out that next year's meeting will be on Maui! Aloha, and thank you for one of our loveliest vacations! Betty

Reprinted with guest's permission: Hi Amy, This is the first chance I've had to check email, I've been trying to drop a note to you since we got home on the 7th!!! WE HAD AN AWESOME TIME!!!!! Your villa could not have been more perfect. We loved everything about it and if we had a wish list of what to add it would be blank!!!!! We are trying to figure out when we can return!!!!! None of us wanted to leave. In fact when it was time to go to Oahu, we were all wishing we had just made arrangements to stay at your place that last week too!!!! I've given your information to a couple of my friends and Dave's parents. They are considering Hawaii sometime within the next year, just not sure which islands they will be visiting. But I told them if they go to the Big Island they definitely will not be disappointed with your accommodations. It was fun to explore the whole island. We got that book "The Big Island Revealed" so we found the way out of the way places. We were almost always alone on every beach. Did tons of snorkeling (we took our own kayaks out to Cook's Monument, on the way out the dolphins were swimming with us), boogie boarding, hiking. Saw the hot lava (we hiked the 2.5mi. out to the flow), found Champagne Pond (heated by the volcano) and swam there. Visited Greenville coffee farm (they give the BEST tour) and Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut factory, learned to surf.....I would recommend that book to your guests, you may even want to keep a copy of it in the condo. Well I could go on and on.....can you tell we had a great time?!?!?!?! Mahalo in a VERY BIG WAY!!!!! We are so glad we found you on the net. Hopefully you will be hearing from us again to set up our next visit. (we are actually thinking next November, hopefully!!!) Well back to reality for us!!!!! Aloha and Mahalo!!! This is a beautiful villa on Waikoloa Beach drive. Dining, shopping and the beach are at an arms length. The villa is thoughtfully equiped, a perfect, quiet place for a relaxing vacation. It has all the aminities one would ask for; pool, hot tub, tennis court and golf. We loved our stay here and will recommend it to our family and friends.
