Spent our vacation here for the 2nd time in two years with our 3 children & 4 grandchildren. This year my brother & his wife joined us! I was wonderful again. This place has everything.... Can't think of anything I would add! Hope to return again!

Great house and location

This was our first year renting this house and we absolutely loved it. The location is great, not much traffic and the beach is just across the street, couldn't ask for anything more. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips, from the chairs for the beach, bikes to ride around the neighborhood and everything needed to cook our meals. The kids had a great time too and there was plenty of things to keep them busy. They could swim at the beach or in the pool while we relaxed and enjoyed the weather and scenery. It was beautiful in the morning sitting in the gazebo enjoying the ocean, the breeze and a cup of coffee. We will definitely be back to rent this house again. Thanks for the great time!!

Perfect Family Home

Just returned from the most phenomonal family beach vacation. This home is perfect - the "extras" the owner includes, such as lots and lots of beach chairs, beach toys, pool toys, games, movies, etc. The kids ages 15 - 2 years all had so much fun and we did not need to pack lots of things to keep them occupied. The house itself is great, a family room on the first floor so the kids could watch movies while the adults had some peaceful moments on the second floor. The proximity to the beach was perfect - morning set up our spot on the beach, back to the house for lunch, more beach time, then relax in the pool late afternoon. And of course, the hot tub after the kids were settled in for the night. It just doesn't get bettter than this property - we all decided to do this property again in two years!

The Point

This was our 7th year and we already booked for our 8th year. The place is great! We fill up the bedrooms with our families and still have room for everyone should they want to do something differant! Every year we rent kayaks from Hot Wax for several days and kayak the ocean and the bogue. The biking around the island is great from the bike paths to the off road trails that we found. There is a good variety of resturants to choose from. My daughter had her wedding on the beach 3 years ago and we had the reception underneath the house! Our families enjoy our stay and can't wait till next year!

We cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful vacation we had at this house! The house was amazing and it offered everything we needed from pots and pans to pool toys for the kids. We found that we ate together as a family at the big table each morning and night and had some very interesting conversations. Cocktail hour in the gazebo was a hit with the adults! It is very evident that you put your heart and soul in this house from the funky fish decorations to cleaning of the pool. We are already planning another trip.

Amazing Home.....Amazing Vacation

We rented your home in Sept 2010. We loved it!!! It was perfect for the adults and the young children that we had in a vacation party spanning 4 generations. Although you can't tell it from the pictures, it is literally 10 steps to the beach sand from the front yard. The gazebo was a huge hit in our group as was the pool and jacuzzi. We spent lots of time on the beach because it was to easy to walk over and back. We took our two oldest grandchildren, ages 3 and 2 to the Aquarium and would recommend it. We would also recommend this rental to others and hope to return ourselves in 2011.

We had a wonderful time at Point Lookout. My family and 2 others, 10 persons total, shared this beautiful house. The views were spectacular, especially from the gazebo, where we spent considerable time! The private pool and hot tub were great. I would highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful time at Point Lookout. The view was phenomenal. Those of us with babies especially enjoyed being able to see the ocean from the 2nd floor and enjoy the gazebo as well. We all loved the pool and hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped as was the pool room. We would stay here again.

We all (13 of us) had a wonderful time in this beach house. The house was decorated beautifully, and we all really loved the view from the second story. Debbie has really taken a great deal of time in decorating and seeing that the guests have everything they need. The swimming pool and hot tub were used quite a bit and we appreciated the fact that they are maintained so well. Our daughter wrote in the guest book about our stay, and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you from all of us.

What a wonderful vacation! We've stayed at other homes in the Outer Banks, but none with such a wonderful view and great accomodations. The pool was a big hit with the kids, as was the hot tub for the adults! There was easily enough room for 14 people without tripping over each other. We could not have asked for a more fun, relaxing and memorable vacation home.

OK to be perfectly honest, initially I was not sure about this house. As the agent has stated, "It is a leap of faith." Reserving a home based on web pictures vs actually being there can be a world of difference. Well this house is absolutely to die for. The views are just awesome. Words can not do justice. The upstairs area was just unbelievable. A large group can comfortably sit, converse and all enjoy the wonderful sunsets. The views from the kitchen are awesome, I actually enjoyed spending time at the kitchen sink. This home is very well equipped. Debbie and Jim obviously pay attention to every detail. The home is so tastefully decorated, you just feel so HAPPY. We had the opportunity to meet Marie, the housekeeper. What a jewel! Final thanks to Peter, the agent. You are great! You were so willing to work with us regarding our arrival schedule. So Debbie and Jim, you have a great team. Thanks for sharing your spectacular home. I do hope and plan to return.

Pointe Lookout was the perfect place to vacation with our 12 family members to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary. The house was more than we had even hoped for... so spacious, immaculate and so attractively decorated. Our teenage kids as well as all the adults thoroughly enjoyed riding the bikes, playing ping pong, swimming in the pool and hanging out in the hot tub... so many nice amenities. The morning sunrises from the gazebo were breathtaking and the ocean was so convenient. This house was the most completely furnished home we've ever rented. The owners and rental agent could not have been more accommodating and pleasant to work with. They even graciously gave up a night of their own vacation in this home so we could have an extra night there! And another example of their hospitality ... prior to our stay, we asked if the grill was large enough to grill 12 steaks on, and they went out and bought a new grill big enough for 12 steaks just days before our stay! They went above and beyond! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with us!

Eight adults and nine children enjoyed this fantastic home in July. Pictures really do not give this place justice. We had a fantastic time, house was wonderful and everyone left still friends :) We also had the opportunity to meet Jim and Debbie during our stay. Thanks for a memorable vacation.

We had a wonderfil stay here. The house is just beautiful and has everything you can possibly need. The 2 fridges are a great plus. The views are wonderful for the entire top floor. We has 12 - 14 people all week and had plenty of room. Thanks for offering your beautiful home to us.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Point Lookout. The views from the upstairs were spectacular and walks along the beach were wonderful. The decor of the house was very well done and inviting, making you feel like you were in your own home. My wife and I enjoyed the bikes available for rides in the subdivision. We certainly would recommend using the hottub outside, such a relaxing addition to the property. We liked traveling to Beaufort area for some great restaurants and sight seeing. We certainly will return to this place again!!

Our family recently had the opportunity to spend a week on Emerald Isle at Point Lookout and we had a fabulous vacation. The real beauty of the entire experience was the people we encountered in and around Emerald Isle. We were very impressed with the friendliness of everybody we met. It was fantastic. Point Lookout was great! The recent remodeling was awesome, the views from the upstairs area are beautiful. The house met and exceeded our expectaions. We would highly recommend Point Lookout and Emerald Isle as a potential vacation destination.

Our family enjoyed the ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL Point Lookout home during August, 2005. The views are fantastic, the home is wonderful and well equipped with every amenity that you can think of. Having our own pool and hot tub was a real plus, and the ocean beach ( with tons of shells to pick from !) was only a few short steps away. This is definitely a WINNER in our books !!

WE love Emerald Isle and we LOVE Point Lookout. The views in the morning and the evening are spectacular! Every room has its own personality. My kids loved the bunk beds, the pool, the hottub, the ping pong table and all of the videos and dvds!! It's a great place to ride bikes, fish, boat, and of course go to the beach. We can't wait to go back next year!

We had a great week in October 2004 at Emerald Isle. The house was great. The kids LOVED the pool. We had great family time around the ping pong table most evenings. We were able to walk to the beach with 4 kids...youngest 3 years old. Weather allowed us to get in the un-heated pool every day and it was warm enough to get in the ocean everyday but one. We didn't even have time to get to the many games, puzzles, movies, and books that were provided with the house. THANKS! Randy

WOW. My wife and I and our 3 kids live only twenty minutes from Virginia Beach but we didn't really know what a family beach was like until we got to Emerald Isle. This house was pristine but very family friendly. It's wide open so our crazy children couldn't hurt anything. We really didn't have to worry too much about that because having the pool right next to the ping pong table meant that the kids very rarely stepped foot in the house during the daytime. What a vacation. We will be going there again we liked it so much. Thanks for a superb week.

If you are a fisherman you will love being able to walk out your front door and catch dinner. If you like the sunrise AND the sunset, this is place for you. There is a lot to keep the kids busy -- riding bikes in a kid friendly quiet neighborhood (dead end street), ping pong tournaments (in addition to the handy pool. AND if you are a busy executive (or want to keep in touch with those unlucky folks you left behind)internet access with the in-house computer is quick and easy.Fun shopping nearby

I am an 11 year old kid and I loved being able to stay in a house that can also house all my cousins. I loved being able to surf fish, swim in the pool and then the ocean, ride my bike, play ping-pong , eat the large dinners by Aunts and Uncles made for me and then play Yatzee with all my family. Great beach house. I am coming back for sure.
