St. Croix is the largest, most diverse, and friendliest of the US Virgin Islands. It isn't too touristy; it feels like a small town, and yet there is so much to do and see.
Accommodations: Penthouse condominium, 3 bedrooms (King, Queen, 2 Twin/King; sleeps 6) 2.5 baths, Master Bedroom suite has a view of Buck Island from shower / jetted tub.
Everything you need is included - linens, completely equipped kitchen, in-unit private laundry, towels, and of course, your own long stretch of sandy beach and warm sea.
The sea is a protected coral reef, great for beach combing wave washed shells and sea glass.
A few steps walking down the beach is great swimming and snorkeling. St. Croix is famous for diving and snorkeling! Kayaking is minutes away with phosphorescent night trips available. Horseback riding on the beach - yes, indeed!
You don't even have to leave the area for fun and food - 2 restaurants/pubs are right next door, but not intrusive and our new huge pool is pristine and purified without unpleasant chlorine. Or dip into the hot tub for a change of pace.

Duty Free Shopping and parks, botanical gardens, ruins, and golf are only minutes away - as is everything on our 27 mile long island paradise. And you are right in the middle - easy to get anywhere to have fun!
This Penthouse luxury condo feels like a whole villa - private, quiet, two levels, not a soul peeking into your balcony areas, white egrets nesting in the wild within view... it doesn't get better than this!
While all beach edges on the Island are public, Pelican Cove has a private manicured beach cut into its property line with lounge chairs.
It is one of the top three condominiums on St. Croix, and is the most centrally located with onsite maintenance and security.
We come several times a year to avail ourselfs of it's unique benefits and to make sure it is well maintained for our guests, many who return year after year.
The weather is typically tropical and sunny and varies little between seasons although summer is slightly more humid. The temperature averages in the 80's during the day and 70's at night. Brief showers of rain (most last only minutes) provide a total annual rainfall of about 45 inches. Trade winds gently blow across the island, keeping the humidity low.
English is the language spoken by residents. As a U.S. territory, the island is governed by U.S. laws and uses the U.S. dollar as it's currency.

My wife and I and another couple stayed here for 5 days and had an absolute blast. The views from the condo are great and the condo itself was perfect. The rooms were spacious and everything was there to make you feel right at home. Having the resort nearby is terrific. If we didn't want to cook we would walk to the resort and have lunch and could relax on their beach as well. The owners were easy to work with and answered all our questions very quickly. This condo lived up to expectations! It was very spacious with two large balconies, great views and nice ocean breezes. You will definitely need a car...and remember to drive on the left. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was neat and clean. We rarely needed any AC with the constant ocean breeze...I think my daughter used it once in the bedroom without a balcony. Ceiling fans worked well. The bar at the hotel next door was nice and food was good. 2 good sized grocery stores were 5-10 min away and Christiansted was near by. I highly recommend eating dinner at Rowdy Joes in Cane Bay...excellent atmosphere and food.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Great location close to town, The Palms etc. Very quiet for relaxing. Unit large and nicely equipped. Great terraces with view and breezes. Pool is large and very clean. Beautiful in every way.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed at the condo for a wedding we went to at The Carambola Hotel (Marriott). We were traveling with our 1 year old so we needed the extra space. The place was awesome for our one-year old. There wasn't much we needed to do to make it baby proof. The furniture and beds are all super comfy. The views from the decks are awesome. There is tons of furniture to lounge out on the huge decks. It was super quiet. When we went to the pool there were only two other people there. The Palms has a great restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have the BEST Pina Coladas at the bar. They also do take out food. The restaurant overlooks the beach and the pool. The kitchen had tons of spices, spray oil, etc. They supplied us with toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, towels, beach towels, etc. We had EVERYTHING we needed. There was even a brand new pack n' play and a chair for our baby. The only thing we needed was a bit of food, our clothes, and sunscreeen. The condo is huge and beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone. There are also lots of movies, and games. THEY HAVE IT ALL!!! The new owner had just bought a Sony stereo for the place. He seems to be making it even better. The beach out front isn't great, but walk down to the hotel and you can swim right out front. Excellent condo and would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We are constantly looking for new ways to make the property ever more pleasurable. My wife and I concur with your feeling about the view from our balconies. In fact, we often pass up opportunities to venture out in favor of dining in and enjoying our spectacular vista of the ocean and the distant hills. It is easy to forget about the rest of the island, when it seems that you can see it all from your own private perch. We are glad that you had the opportunity to utilize the pool and hot tub facilities. Unlike most resorts, these features at the condo are remarkably uncrowded and often just waiting for someone to enjoy them. The proximity of the Palms Resort is truly an added bonus to staying at the condo. Seems like you get all the amenities of the resort but with better accommodations and less cost. I hope you also had a chance to explore the island a bit. The town of Christiansted is only a few minute drive from the condo and offers a great variety of restaurants and entertainment. We like just getting in the car and exploring. The island is saturated with natural beauty and interesting historical sites. Anyway, as you can see, we love the place, too. The best part of this condo is the view from the upstairs gallery. We were able to enjoy the more than 180 degree view of the ocean and the mountains in complete privacy. The sea breeze and the sound of the waves crashing in the distance accented the relaxed feeling off this spacious, two level condo. This is a rare case in which the rental exceeded our expectations from the pictures on the web site. The condo was very clean, well maintained, and tastefully decorated. We wouldn't mind living in this space. We found it easy to prepare meals in this well equipped kitchen with many new appliances, but some evenings, it was more tempting to make the short trek along the beach (a couple hundred yards) to the restaurant at the Palms Resort next door. The Palms features a full restaurant, outdoor bar area, and often has live entertainment. Great addition to the experience. Just down the street is another beach restaurant, "Breezes". This condo has nearby grocery and several good places to dine out; try "Salud!". Only a short ride east (5-10 minutes) to much more in the town of Christiansted. It was fun to explore the area around Company Street with many shops and places to eat. The jewel of our discovery was Cafe Christine, open for lunch on outdoor veranda; French cuisine and good selection of wine. Not only would we recommend this property, but we will vacation here again. With so many things on this island to do and see, our week here flew by too quickly. Our only problem was deciding whether to relax in the comfort of our condo and enjoy our private ocean view, or to venture out to enjoy the people and beauty of St. Croix. We left this place with the certainty that we will be returning for more of the same.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this condo! The unit was well-maintained and even more beautiful than the pictures depicted. It had more space than I imagined for my family of 6...including (4) sons at 6'3". The location of this 2-level unit offered lots of privacy and the view and sea breezes were amazing. The balconies are huge and the beds were extremely comfortable. The condo was furnished with everything we needed and was the perfect home-away-from-home while we were on St Croix. The iron and ironing board were also a great help as we all prepared for our son's wedding day. And the pool...Wow! It's brand new and beautiful...large enough for lap swimming and very warm. The Pelican Cove area, including the beaches, beachside restaurants and beach bar options, is a hidden gem on the island. We enjoyed walking on the beaches, a tour of the Cruzan Rum Factory and our snorkeling trip out to Buck Island with Big Beard's. We also enjoyed dinner at Cheeseburgers in Paradise and had a great father's day brunch at the Cultured Pelican.
