We used to go to Wolf Creek every year on vacation but we grew tired of the commute back and forth to the slopes. So, this year we decided to give Purgatory/DMR a shot. This home is located right across the street from the resort and there was a free, on call shuttle service that picked us up at our door and dropped us off at the slopes! Could not have asked for more convenience! The home is stunning, no detail was overlooked, and the owners were extremely helpful and accommodating! It easily slept 8 people in beds and there was a roll out bed for one more. If you stay here you have to try the Old Schoolhouse, right down the road, for some local flare and the best pizza in Durango. While you're there, make sure you roll the dice! ;-) We plan to make Purgatory, and this home, our new annual tradition! Thank you again Barb!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
