I recently stayed at this cottage for a wedding weekend. It was very lovely, clean, and quiet. There was nothing more I could have asked for. The kitchen and bathroom had both been modernized. The owner was great to work with (very organized in making the reservation) and extremely knowledgeable about things to do in the area. You could definitely tell that the house is well cared for. The owner had not forgotten a thing. The water views from the backyard were breathtaking. If I ever come back to the Reedville area, I would definitely rent this house again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
About the owner: Gracieland - A Mermaid's Retreat is a labor of love for owners Kristine & Scott Stables. The cottage is painted in a coastal palette; the 2nd floor was remodeled into a 3rd bedroom and a garden was landscaped in all around the cottage. They continue to have fun painting furniture and updating features to make Gracieland a special place. The cottage is named after their dog Gracie, a loyal and lovable companion who loves to swim, fish and eat blue crabs like the rest of us. Kristine & Scott are newlyweds and they enjoy living in the Northern Neck - Middle Peninsula community. Kristine works virtually and she is a writer for a corporate learning company in Seattle and Scott is retired Army and works for the government. They love to go to local farmers markets, wineries and festivals.
