This home is a great place to get away from the rigors of life and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lower keys or get out and partake in all types of water activities. Little Torch is centrally located in the keys but will make you feel like you are miles away.
This is a canal front home, maintained in excellent condition and recently updated. The canal is wide enough to dock a 25 foot boat with no problem. You are only 5 homes from the open water on the north side of the island. No bridge to open water. Just minutes away from full service marinas, jet ski rentals, boat ramps, boat rental and fishing.
Canal and surrounding water is great for fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, boating, back country fishing, and canoeing. Full service dive shops are only 3 minutes away. Looe Key is directly off coast with the best snorkeling and dive site in the lower keys.
Grocery, post office, pharmacy, banks are all nearby. Deer key within minutes. If you are looking for other adventures, you can swim with the dolphins 45 minutes away or visit Old Town Key West and see the famous sunset performers only 45 minutes away.

Everything was exactly as advertised. It's a lovely location on a boating canal with views of the ocean nearby. There is lots of outside seating canal-side. The house is truly comfortable and well-maintained. Being its own structure also afforded more privacy than being in a condo unit. We loved this location in the Lower Keys: 30 minutes to Key West (be sure to visit the butterfly conservatory), and lots to do on the neighboring keys - hiking, kayaking, beaches, snorkeling, bird-watching, dining. It was a perfect vacation spot and we were making plans to return even before we left.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Our stay at Little Torch Hidden Gem could not have been any better unless it was longer. The home was well stocked and clean. The area was convenient to stores and activities but still out of the limelight. Key West was only 28 miles away. We will consider this home again for future rental.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

House was as expected as shown on the VRBO site.. House was clean, a few issues which we notifed the owner and they will be taken care of. Not a lot to do on Little Torch Key but grocery store is about 1 1/2 miles. Only 25 miles to Key West which is nice. There is a Key West Transit bus that you can use, schedule is on-line but not very user friendly. You must drive everywhere. If you do not want to drive and relax, this is the place for you.Recommended for: Age 55+.

Year Purchased: 1975
About the owner: We have lived on the west coast of Florida for over 45 years. We purchased our Little Torch Hidden Gem (one of the first in the community) when our children were young and have been enjoying it ever since. We are retired now and have let our children help us with the maintenance and management of the property.

The is truly a hidden gem in the lower keys. We have so many fond memories of spending time here and hope that you will build similar memories. You can relax, just sit out back along the canal and enjoy the breeze off the water or plan activities all day long. It is one of the few wide canals in the lower keys.
