This spacious 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom condo is located in the Views of Sunset Estates in the Sunset Villas neighborhood in the heart of West End. Sunset Villas is a quiet, safe neighborhood that is a short walk from the shops, bars, restaurants, and dive shops of West End. This stunning condo is the penthouse of a 3 story building that comes complete with a rooftop patio and a swimming pool! There is no need for a car! It is less than 5 a minute walk to West End Beach, 6 minutes to Half Moon Bay Beach where the famous Sundowners Bar is located, and a less than 1o minute boat ride to West Bay Beach which is considered one of the best beaches in the Caribbean.
This fully air-conditioned condo has everything you will want including a stunning pool with ocean views; a master bedroom with a queen sized bed and an en-suite bathroom; a second bedroom with a queen bed; a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, cooking island, granite counter tops, and modern appliances; a washer and dryer; a large dining table perfect; and a living area with a sofa, love seat, and a HDTV with DVD and Cable. Enjoy unparalleled views of the ocean and the sunset from the balcony. The balcony also has a dining table, a gas BBQ, and a chaise lounge which is perfect for relaxing with a cold beverage after a long day at the beach. This luxurious condo comfortably sleeps 4-5 people.
As part of our rental service, we can arrange for anything and everything you want to do while on the island. We have lived here for over 7 years and know everything about everything on Roatan. We can even stock the refrigerator with your favorite foods and drinks. What better than to have an ice cold beer waiting for you upon arrival?
The condo also comes with a cell phone that can make and receive inexpensive local and international phone calls and a USB 3G internet Modem.
We do not include electricity in the rental price. We include an electricity allowance that covers the use of the fans, fridge, and hot water heater. But instead of charging fees for laundry, A/C , extra people, and so forth, it is easier and fairer to charge for electricity instead. We read the meter at check-in and check-out and use the previous month's bill to determine the rate. We found that including electricity in the price made people want to get their money's worth by leaving the A/Cs constantly on at full blast and every light in the place on. Not only is it eco unfriendly, it meant we had to tack on an extra $400 / week to the rental rate.
We have a fantastic year round wind that comes straight through the condo if you leave the doors open. The master bedroom opens onto the balcony so you can leave the sliding glass door open and get a nice ocean breeze. The other bedrooms have screened windows that can also be left open. You might not even need A/C.
We also add a $10 / person annual Marine Park User Fee. The money goes to a local Non Governmental Organization that works tirelessly to protect and conserve Roatan's coral reefs. Each guest will be given a bracelet or token saying that you have paid. If you plan on diving, simply show this to the dive operator so you will not be charged twice.

My wife and I stayed here after deliberating whether to go back to our same hotel. We made the right decision. The photos online are great but do not do this place justice. I don't think you can capture the views in any photo. They are stunning. You can actually see the reef and all the dive boats just beyond the Caribbean Blue water. As divers, it was fantastic to be able to see where we were from this perspective. As far as the condo goes, the interiors are fantastic. Luxurious without being over the top; it has all the comforts of my home. The kitchen is great for entertaining, though we mostly just ate lazy breakfasts out on the balcony and grilled as the sun went down. If you don't feel like heading into town, the pool is a great place to spend the day with a great book. The place is a walk from town but it is not that bad. It is about 5 minutes or so and only the last part is uphill. There are also 3 flights of stairs to get to the condo but that elevation is what gives it such a view. It is very possible to walk this but we ended up renting a scooter from a place in West End for about $185 /week . We didn't use it on the main roads on the island but just to get around West End. For the price, even not considering the price, this place is hands down the best rental on Roatan. The manager, Caroline, also made our stay wonderful. She went out of her way to help us with all our silly questions and requests.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is the second time I have stayed in this condo. It has all the luxuries of home except it is located on the fantastic island of Roatan. The condo itself is large, well furnished, and clean. My favorite part is the view from the balcony. We ate almost every meal out there. Sunsets are especially fantastic when sitting in the lounge chair with a freshly made pina colada. The woman that manages it is so helpful. I called her all the time with stupid questions and advice on restuarants and she was always happy to help. I would recommend this to anyone, except those with mobility issues. It is located on the 3rd floor and there is not an elevator. And the walk up is a bit uphill. But the views make it worth it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: I started coming to Roatan about 10 years ago. I had traveled to pretty much everywhere else in the Caribbean but never found an island I liked as much as Roatan. The beaches are fantastic, the ocean is so clear and blue, the palm trees abound, and the people are welcoming. So I started coming back every chance I got.
Why the Owner Chose West End:
I had been interested in buying property in Roatan since my first trip. West End seemed like the logical place to buy as it has such a fantastic mix of tourists and locals, bars and restaurants, nightlife and tranquility, and of course snorkeling and diving. Call me spoiled, but I wanted to buy a condo that had all the comforts of living in the US with views of the ocean and sunset. I searched and searched and finally found this property. It truly has it all.

This property is close to everything but removed from it all. It is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood in the heart of West End. It is less than 5 a minute walk to town and the beach.
