  These backyard bungalows are so cute! Located in a quiet residential neighborhood with an Austin city feel. The bungalows are set back by the pool, away from the main house with plenty of privacy, yet lots of hospitality. The room was clean and stocked with complimentary drinks and shower essentials. Delivery food options/take out menus that were provided were welcomed for our weekend retreat. The booking process and check-in/check-out were seamless! I would stay here again and would definitely recommend this location for others looking for a "home away from home" vacation.

  This property is exactly as advertised. The bungalow is equipped with every amenity that one could need. We would love to stay again there again next time we visit Austin! Love Chris and Kimico.

  So Hubs and I were coming down to SXSW to see our daughter play her shows and decided not to stay amonst all the riff-raff of downtown or even worse, along the highway in a string of crappy overpriced hotels. Someone suggested we try a private rental. I poked around and found this listing. Looked a little "too good to be true" in light of all the rumors of getting scammed on the web. I sent the owner a message, just to see how this process goes. It was effortless. The owner could not have made things easier. We were set for our getaway to Austin! Then...we arrived. The pics didn't even do the sweet property justice! It was 50's Modern fantastic! The place was immaculate and super comfortable. Stocked with everything we might need including local Austin favorite snacks, chocolates and a fancy coffee maker. The pool, sunshine and privacy made me just wanna hang out there all day. My favorite part was the daily greeting we got from the owner's dog Buster. He approached and offered his paw in true gentleman style. What a beautifully loving dog. We felt so lucky to have discovered this rental. I can't say enough great things about our stay. Unfortunately, with our crazy show going schedule, we never got to meet the owners face to face. However, they are awesome people! We are excited to come back for another visit. When coming to Austin, you would be crazy to stay any where else.

I was originally worried about renting the house out during sxsw because of what I know about the craziness of the festival and how rowdy, destructive and drunk people can get.   Lori and Bill are awesome. We absolutely loved staying in the bungalow – we felt very lucky to have had the opportunity to reserve it during such a busy time in Austin. And our drive into town was very simple, and we luckily seemed to never hit the traffic which everyone called for during the SXSW conference. This was beyond any hotel experience we could have had. Lori and Bill left the kitchen stocked with treats which sustained us during our stay. The space was just right, very well designed. It was also a real advantage to stay alongside of locals who were able to point us in the right direction for all the best Austin has to offer. A big THANKS again to Lori & Bill! - we highly recommend this VRBO as an opportunity to really live and love Austin. –Kristin + Bob, Philadelphia

  We had a great stay with Lori and Bill. They are both very friendly and accommodating. The bungalow is very comfortable and very well equipped for any length of time. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for an alternative to the traditional hotel/motel. The best part is the dog comes to say hello! Thanks again to you both!

  This is a great place to stay, very clean and well-maintained. The owners were nice and helpful with local things to do. Good location, close to downtown and UT area. I would recommend this property.

  My stay at the Bungalow made me wonder why anyone in their right mind would ever stay at a hotel. The property owners were so kind, helpful, and accomodating; truely lightyears ahead of any hotel staff I have EVER encountered. The poolhouse's construction is noticabley recent and very neat. It was clean and comfortable, even by OCD standards. No doubt about it, if I could afford it, I would move in for good. Straight A's accross the board. Thanks guys!!!

  If after reading the description for this property you think you may want to stay, then I can promise that you will. These bungalows meet and exceed everything they are purported to be. The proprietors are very cool and attentive to your needs. The amenities were perfect: fridge, coffee maker with pods, comfy beds, huge fenced yard, private pool, etc. This would be perfect for anyone coming to see SXSW or any other Austin attractions. I stayed there because I had work in the Meuller Airport development (Dell Children's Medical Center, Film Studios, lots of retail) and this was extremely convenient. The big pool looked very inviting but I'll have to try it the next time I visit- I stayed in January.

  Finally getting around to writing my review! At the last minute my wife and I decided to take a weekend trip to Austin (from San Antonio). The owners graciously accepted my last minute request to stay at their place. With the plans set we motored to meet them, get the key, etc. before our night on the town. They are the coolest people and ended up talking to them for a while. And of course have these 2 brand new awesome cottage-bungalow-pool house cabin things. They are brand new, really modern and are just really attractive. Our bungalow had everything you'd expect, TV, shower, dishes, a high-tech coffee maker, plus a lot of cool, authentic retro furnishings from the 50s/60s/70s. It would be really cool to stay here in the summer because of the awesome pool right outside the door. House is on a secure-feeling cul-de-sac that's out of the way of the busier streets. Parking is in their driveway, and entry is through a private gate on the side of the house. We don't make it up to Austin too often, but looking forward to staying here when we get the chance.
