It's the quintessential American answer to European-style resorts where swimming, dining, sunbathing, golfing and playing tennis are serious pastimes. Once notorious for its status as a winter retreat for Hollywood celebrities, today Palm Springs is is a preferred destination of travelers from all over the world seeking world-class golf courses, chic country clubs and unique residential communities. Palm Springs is known for its crystal blue skies, year-round sunshine, stunning landscape, palm tree lined streets and starry nights.
Although you may be tempted to not stray far from your Palm Springs home away from home, the city itself offers many vacation activities including a plethora of sports, quality shopping and a sophisticated night life. Every Thursday evening, downtown Palm Springs transforms into the Palm Springs Village Fest, also known as the Palm Springs Street Fair. At the Village Fest, you will experience a diverse array of artists, artisans, entertainers, and purveyors of fresh fruits and veggies, flowers, jewelry, snacks and sweets. Add all that to the great shops, restaurants, clubs, and entertainment venues located along world famous Palml Canyon Drive.
And, of course, don’t forget the golf! There are hundreds of golf courses in and around Palm Springs. Two local favorites are the Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort and the Escena Golf Resort. Both within a couple of miles of the condo.

The previous reviews of this peaceful, quiet condo are accurate. The owners are very helpful and responsive. The courtyard is even better at night than the pictures show. Great lighting and landscaping. The whole condo is put together with an eye to detail and quality. The beds were more comfortable than most hotels or resorts we have stayed in. Grounds and pools are well kept and often had the pools to ourselves. I would not expect any condo in Canyon Sands could be nicer than this one and would stay at it again if visiting southern Palm Springs.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We stayed at this condo in February of 2013 and were very pleased. The condo has been beautifully updated with the best of materials, The experience was like staying in a fine hotel with all of the comforts of home: comfortable furniture, great mattress, pillows and soft throws and a fireplace for chilly evenings. The patio is very charming and the living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom all look out on the patio and have direct access to it. It provided a very nice atmosphere as well as a nice shaded outdoor place with a water feature. The complex is quiet and the other guests and owners were all very nice. Everything, including the pool areas is very well maintained, The owners were helpful and eager to provide whatever we needed. We feel fortunate to have found this lovely condo and will definitely consider staying again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

The pictures of this condo are on target. The owner was extremely helpful. Her husband knew I played golf and left me a bucket full of golf balls to use. They also have two very nice bikes to ride. The place was clean and quiet. In Jan we used the fireplace at night, which was wonderful. I also liked the fact that there was a gargage to park my vehicle in. The supermarket Von's, was a short walk away. This location is very central to area resturants, shops, golf, Trader Joe's, and the best car wash I have ever found. We would return next year in aheart beat......be sure to go to the Follie's at least once....Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.

About the owner: We bought our condo in 2008 and vacationed in it while still living in the Bay Area. We have many friends who have moved to the area full time and fell in love with the area while visiting them. We ended up moving here full time in 2012 but wanted to hang on to our beautiful Canyon Sands condo. We love it there and hope you do, too!
Why the Owner Chose Canyon Sands:
We love our condo! It's more like a single family home because none of the walls (except the garage) are connected to another unit. Its in South Palm Springs so it's close to everything! Only a 10 minute (or less) drive to downtown Palm Springs. We love to ride our bikes downtown to Cheeky's for breakfast. We also love all the floor to ceiling glass throughout the condo. It makes it feel open and airy. And the private patio with the water feature is so soothing and peaceful. These are just a few of the things we love about our condo!
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
We added a glass front door to the front of our home so that we could leave the door open in the day time in order to look out at the beautiful San Jacinto Mts. They are truly magnificent! And we also love all our community pools within a couple of minutes from our unit, and the tennis courts, too.
