  We were group of 10 people that stayed at The Beach House during Easter 2013. The first impression of the house and the place was fantastic, stunned, even though we had traveled some 22+ hours, it was way pass midnight and we were so tired. We woke up to a beautiful sunny morning, Rick had arranged delicious breakfast for all of us, what a great start to our adventure in Nosara. The Beach House is perfectly located with respect to shops, restaurants and bars. Last, but not least the beautiful Playa Guiones where you can watch sunrise, sunset, surfers and people enjoying beach life. I can’t thank Rick enough for really taking great take care of us. His kindness and helpfulness was highly appreciated. Thank you so much Rick, you’re the best! Would I come back to The Beach House? YES! Would I recommend The Beach House to my friends? Absolutely! If you’re planning to visit Nosara, make sure to stay at The Beach House, this oasis won’t disappoint you! Pura vida! Phil

  i went to tranquil costa rican with 2 buddies of mine to surf. we are all in our mid 30"s and did not realize you could find such a modern set up without taking away the natural beauty of your surroundings! To our surprise,Rick who is the developer and the owner accomplished this! He has created a place where you only have a 5 minute walk to the most consistent surf break anywhere in costa rica with a modern villa filled with everything you need at your disposal! This place in my opinion is perfect for the soul surfer looking to find his way or a family looking to live in luxury close to a beach. For a group of guys or girls planning a getaway Rick will cater to your every need with any requests you may have ! A place to invest or vacation either way you win big with this piece of heaven! Thanks for everything Rick and see you next year!!!

  Although a frequent visitor to Costa Rica, this was my first stay in Nosara. I was booked in and inspected several of the accommodations available in Nosara but was delighted when a vacancy became available at the Beach House. The main reason is simple...value. If you want a semblance of luxury (not readily available in Nosara), as well as security, quiet, convenience, location, and amenities at a reasonable price, then call the Beach House first. One has the pool, pool bar, air conditioning, good wifi and the beach just a few minutes walk away...perfect. Yes many of the hotels have that, but the furnishings, construction and decor are a step up. If Nosara becomes your cup of tea, then the Beach House offers not only rental but ownership opportunities in an affordable way perhaps not considered by prospective vacation property owners. In short, one buys into only the time they plan to vacation. I don't believe anybody else offers this in Nosara. Be sure to check out the Kaya Sol 150 feet or so down the road for your dinners by Cocina de Jorge. You won't be disappointed.

• The Perfect Surf Trip

  Me and two friends rented this place for a week in February to be close to the surf. We got what we wanted, we were as close as you can get to the beach in Guiones. Not only that, the house was just perfect. Very well designed, clean and quiet. The swimming pool is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden where it is very pleasant to hang out and have a beer after our surf sessions. Many good restaurants are just a short walk from the house but it was also very convenient to hire local cook Clara for some delicious Costa Rican food and have dinner on the beautiful teak table. Rick the owner was very nice and helpful. We had been in Nosara for surfing many times before, but this was our best trip for sure. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

  the best part of our stay was not the property, although the property is one of the nicest i've had the pleasure to stay in (particularly for costa rica), it was the people. the owner, rick, was highly communicative and attentive to our every request. he even came over one night at 10pm to let us in the house when we'd locked ourselves out. he had great recommendations for restaurants, yoga, surf shops and instructors, mini trips to great surfing spots and sea turtle viewings, parties (it was new years) and bars, etc., and was quick to respond if there was a problem with anything. we became friends and will certainly be returning. in addition to rick, the housekeeper / cook for the property is incredible. she cooked huge meals for us every day, with fresh local ingredients, including fruit and vegetables, native specialties, snacks, etc. we could have specified exactly what we wanted, but we left it to her every day and it was wonderful. the property was clean and new, with a full set of appliances, all handmade custom furniture, a nice hammock upstairs, easy outdoor dining, a communal bar area with a great pool and outdoor shower. it was such a great, relaxing place to stay as the new year turned over. there were other folks staying next door, and we all had a great time hanging out and relaxing with each other at night. and finally, the town and beach are phenomenal - you can't find a better surfing / yoga destination in this hemisphere in my opinion.

  I recently stayed at the beach house in Guiones, Costa Rica 10 minutes drive from the Nosara, airport. The pictures on the web site do not do this property justice. The pool and outside living areas are secluded and surrounded by a veritable jungle of beautiful tropical plants and flowers. There are sunny & shaded areas to recline around the pool and Rancho, which is a wet bar with a refrigerator & freezer, convenient for making drinks and food for happy hour. The staff are courteous and friendly,constantly cleaning, tending to the lush foilage, c/ooking for you as an option. Rick the manager was available for any small thing that needed to be tended to, advice on the numerous restaurants, surf shops & Yoga facilities in the immediate area. The condos are 2/2 comfortable & tastefully decorated in a Costa Rica motif using local woods & fabrics. The kitchen is very functional, with granite counter tops & everything you need to prepare great meals, which the chef did frequently. Everthing about these condos was attractive inside & outside. The road to the beach [about 5 mins walk] is outside your door and is about 200 meters to the high tide line,as close as you are allowed to build in Guiones due to the conservation exclusion zone to preserve the natural beauty of the cove like beach with rocky blufs on the north & south of it. Since the beach faces west the sunsets are absolutly amazing every night. There are numerous activities in the area like ATV rentals,surfing, yoga,ziplines,fishing for Sailfish & Marlins as well as spa services like massages of all sorts & types. It is a very relaxing place off the beaten track where you can really de-Stress. I would highly recommend Guionis beach and the Beach House in particular.
