  First we want to mention that John, the owner of JODO, is so helpful, enthusiastic, offers excellent communication and truly wants your stay to be perfect--Thank you, John, as you made sure our trip was in every way. When you arrive on N. Caicos, you are greeting warmly by it's friendly people. Mark met us at JODO on our arrival, arranged our rental car, Lucy (yeah, she's a bit weathered, yet Lucy is the perfect fun 4x4 for this island to explore all the gravel and dirt back roads--we loved her!). Mark gave us a feel for the island and offered any assistance to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. JODO is fully equipped with all the modern touches. It's clean, comfortable, breezy, peaceful and sits on an absolutely glorious isolated huge stretch of beach. We only saw 2 others walk by the beach during our entire stay. This beach was ours. Highlights of the trip were kayaking and snorkeling the reef, paddle boarding, Three Mary's Cays (beautiful, wild and isolated), Whitby Beach, Horstable Beach (including the must see eastern point/inlet for exploring, snorkeling and fishing), exploring Bottle Creek, the Causeway and Middle Caicos including Mudjin Harbor, scuba diving amongst massive vibrant coral heads full of fish life with Dedrick (Big D-highly recommended for snorkel, dive or fishing adventures), boating the north shore with Mark, do it yourself fly fishing on the reef just up from JODO, enjoying all the incredible wildlife both in and out of the water just plain relaxing away on the beautiful, peaceful beach and seeing the stars, sand and turquoise water under the moonlight at night. The stores on the island are well equipped though we suggest (as we did) picking up a few meats/poultry on Provo and having it boxed for the ferry for your trip (most everything else is available on North). We cooked great meals in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed the restaurants such as the Barracuda Bar. This incredible and truly relaxing place was hard to leave and we absolutely want to come back at some point. Thank you so much, John (and Mark), for welcoming us to JODO and doing everything to make sure we had a vacation to remember. I also want to thank all the wonderful, friendly and helpful people of N. Caicos. JODO allows you take a step back in time while letting you enjoy it with all the modern conveniences in total comfort. Highly recommended for sure--come see for yourself!! -Kevin & Kelly

  An amazing and wonderful place and the best host ever, thanks John! It was perfect. We were met at Provo airport by John and arthur and driven to the grocery store to pick up our supplies and helped us load everything on the ferry. The adventure begins. The water is amazing; you cannot believe it is so beautiful. The ferry ride is exciting. We are met at North Caicos by Mac and driven to the house. The gated property and house is wonderful, everything you need to have a luxury vacation. The view of the ocean and sound of the waves is so peaceful. We had so much fun, walking and running barefoot on the beach, picking up beautiful pink conch shells along the way. There are paddle boards, kayaks, snorkelling, and Bon fire at nights, and not to miss sunsets. Favorite memories: 1. Walking on the beach and it started to rain, it was so nice and warm. We just jumped in the water and floated with the rain falling on us. The water was sooo calm and smooth. Just a great feeling and rejuvenation experience. 2.Driving the little Nemo car to the ferry for the Coconut shrimp at the little restaurant there. 3.Bonfire at night and pulling the loungers up to the fire and 4. The dinner agnes cooked for us Mark was there to help at a minutes' notice and drove us around the island to show us all the sights, including Flamingos. One evening I made lobster chowder, it was awesome and the lobsters are huge! We rented a car from Mark and had lunch at Mundgen Harbour and climbing down into a cave where there is a secret beach. Loved it! But most days just flew by, swimming; walking constantly finding another perfect Conch Shell. Paddle boarding, relaxing on the lounge chairs and your perfect ocean view. Watching the sunset or bonfire. Falling asleep tired, happy and rested. We loved it

  Our week in paradise at Jodo! Clean, luxurious, spacious, and private. From our first contact with John and Jodo, until the second we left the property, we had the greatest experience we could have imagined! The booking process was smooth and easy. All our of questions were promptly answered and the information about the rental was very thorough. John helped us easily get from the airport (PLS), to the ferry, to the property! His help and preparation made this short journey really fun and easy. Once we arrived at Jodo, we were amazed. Mark, the property manager was great. He walked through the property and got us situated and comfortable with everything we would need. Not only is Mark the Jodo property manager but he also offers a car rental which we took advantage of one day. The unit had two bedrooms, a master downstairs (air conditioned) next to the bathroom and a second room upstairs with a balcony that overlooks the ocean and offers some of the best sunset views. The bathroom has a huge shower, a washer and dryer, and all the other amenities of home. The kitchen was perfect! We cooked all our meals here except for one dinner and one lunch. Jodo provides all the necessary kitchen utensils and appliances to cook probably every meal possible. There is also a BBQ on the patio that we used. We shipped some food down and got the rest at the North Caicos grocers which was more inexpensive than we planned! There was internet, tv, iPod docking station, and all the comforts of home. They had paddleboards, kayaks, plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, floaties, and a wonderful beach to use these on. The patio of the soon to be completed main villa was a great place to have a cup of coffee and evening cocktail and watch the sunset. We felt 100% safe the whole time on the property. They thought of every detail which made our trip so special. We went to Middle Caicos one day and also ate at The Silver Palm. Can't wait to go back!   JODO, is one of those places that, once you get there and experience This Setting, You Will Have To Come Back. Once you arrive, you will feel the peace and serenity that JODO Guest Villa has to offer. The owner and management had made arrangements for our transportation to the Villa. Upon arrival the property manager cheerfully greeted us and we were shown around. Many of the benefits of what the Villa had to offer were revealed to us. Every area was spotless, as you would hope you would find. The tropical feel was evident in every room. New appliances every where, laundry facilities and a culinary designer kitchen that would make any gourmet envious. The second level sleeping area leads out onto an open balcony, with views of the beach and the calm waters. While being surrounded by acres of privacy, during our stay we had something very magical happen. We saw No One, absolutely no one while we were on the grounds of Jodo. We were offered an accommodation of a vehicle rental through the management which we did use to tour around North and Middle Caicos. And there are Many off site adventures to had. But, while we were enjoying ourselves at Jodo we were treated to the privacy we only dreamed we would find. The remoteness was only interrupted by the use of the array of , CD's - DVD's, IPod, Wireless internet cell phone with all necessary contacts for our use. The calm waters were perfect for the use of the paddle boards and kayak. Everything that was represented was there and More. The arrangements were some of the best that I have ever experienced. All questions were answered immediately, either by telephone or e-mail, with knowledge and courtesy. The entire experience, staying at JODO was nothing short of Excellent. I would compare the accommodations here at Jodo, to many of the luxury Villa's we have found St Bart's. And if privacy is important to your relaxing getaway, Jodo will only leave you wanting to Never Leave, as it did for us. If you are fortunate enough to decide to spend some time at Jodo, Enjoy yourself as we did. You will likely find yourself as we are, Looking forward to returning again soon. Thanks Jodo...

  My wife, 18 month old son, and I had the good fortune to spend 10 days at Jodo on North Caicos this January. John, the owner was very friendly and accommodating right from our first email contact. He arranged for transport from the ferry at North Caicos and then Mark, who cares for the house, welcomed us on our arrival and oriented us to the island. The house itself was very clean, airy, spacious and relaxing. The beds were comfortable, the ceiling fans kept a nice breeze throughout the afternoon and the kitchen was well-equipped. The water was drinkable at the house and the local fruits and vegetables were a treat. The location, on the northeast corner of the island , means it is sheltered from the tradewinds. There is plenty of breeze to keep you cool, but gentle seas behind the reef made it a wonderful swimming beach for junior. Mark rented us a car, which we did need as amenities are spread out on the island. We spent many days on the wonderful beach at the house, but also travelled to other beaches on the island and spent some time on Middle Caicos, hiked part of the Crossing Trail and had a really great lunch at Daniel’s. Lunch/dinner at the Last Chance Bar and Grill was another highlight. You go to North Caicos for the quiet, the beaches, the water, the fishing and the relaxing laid back feel. You don’t go looking for nightlife or any sort of “scene”. We only saw two people on the long stretch of beach at the house all week. The island is sparsely populated. We are a couple who prefer a little bit of adventure on vacation, but, with a young child in tow also needed/wanted some comfort and ease of travel. For us, Jodo was perfect. We loved every minute of our stay and would go back tomorrow if we could. Thanks John for a wonderful vacation and thanks to Mark for showing us the ropes while we were there.
