  Four of us stayed here for 4 nights. The house was very comfortable. What was so great was it was in the middle of everything. The proxsimity to the market was great. There was also a huge porch to sit on for morning coffee and evening relaxing with a glass of wine. The french bakery across the street provided us with a good breakfast and evening snack. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Charlston. This was a rare find and will stay here again should I go back to Charlston.

  We had a great long weekend in Charleston staying at this house. Spent most of our afternoons enjoying the breeze on the porch. Walked just about everywhere except the beach! Close to some of the best dining options in town. Cheaper than any of the downtown hotels and you get so much more. Also, as a side benefit, one of the best stocked kitchens I've seen in a rental house; plenty of staples and dishes/cookware of very reasonable/usable quality. (Not always the case in rentals.) The owner emailed me a few days in advance with all the information we needed. Couldn't have asked for more! Thanks for a great time in Charleston!

  Great weekend! House was in excellent condition and the location was perfect - within walking distance to everything we needed. We had 6 adults and 1 toddler and there was plenty of room for all. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

  Our family stayed here for our daughter's destination wedding at the end of April. I looked for a condo to rent as opposed to hotel rooms for all of us since it would be cheaper, which it was. I was pleasantly surprised that the location was so ideal. I knew we were close to everything, but didn't realize until we got there that it was just perfect, not only for the wedding festivities but also for touring Charleston, which we did during the week following the wedding. The owners are most helpful and hospitable, making sure we had settled in and found everything we needed for our stay. We would all like to say thanks for that, it made our stay so comfortable. Many times during the week someone would say to me, "you really hit the ball out of the park with this rental, it's awesome!"

  Charming ! We had a delightful 2 night get- away in this wonderful home. Fabulous location that also offers free parking. We will always try to stay here when we are in Charleston. The owners were very helpful in answering questions and making suggestions. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

  The owner is so accommodating and very prompt with returning calls and emails. Truly making an effort to make your stay pleasant. The house was very comfortable. My family enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening. And the location was great!! The only issue with the house is the very old bathrooms. The larger bathroom was acceptable but the smaller was really small.

  Owner response: The description of the house on VRBO says that one of the two bathrooms is very small--which it is --I suggest any people of large size use the main bath/shower rather than the smaller one . This is typical of old Charleston houses --they did not build large bathrooms in 1839 . The bathrooms are modern and useable --just one is small .

  We really enjoyed our stay in this charming cozy flat in the heart of town. It is located on a very nice street lined with nicely maintained historic homes just 1/2 block from King Street, and a very short few blocks to the grocery store. The walk to the grocery store down Society Street is very pleasant. We didn't use our car once during our 5 night stay. We also enjoyed using the owners' bikes for a ride around town. The owners are very hospitable and excellent with communication. The unit is the top floor of a house that has three other units. It is spacious and tidy, and the living room and bedrooms are very comfortable and very nicely decorated. Very nice linens and towels. It feels very homey. Huge porch with nice rocking chairs and pillows and plants and flowers. Very inviting. Two large flat screen TV's in the living room and main bedroom. Spacious kitchen is well equipped with nice dishes and cutlery, but pots and pans are old, some are damaged, and I didn't have everything I needed to cook. Also, the throw rug looks soiled and shabby, but the wooden floor underneath is beautiful. Bathrooms are well maintained and clean but could use updating. Other than that, it's a very nice unit and the owners are really great!

  Wonderful charming historic home in the perfect location with a parking space. Beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again. It is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and The Market.

  This was a perfect location for us as we were able to walk to everything without moving the car. Shopping on King Street and nearby restaurants were excellent! The apartment was well appointed and easy to access. We were so comfortable the entire stay. Will come back!!!

This Short Term Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made by and between 77 Society LLC (“Homeowner”) and the person renting the property ( the “Guest) upon receiving the deposit from the Guest . For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows: 1. Property: The property is located at 77 Society Street, Apartment A, Charleston, SC 29401. The property is furnished. 2. Rental Party: The rental party shall consist of the Guest_ The maximum number of guests is limited to eight (8) persons. 3. Term of the Lease: The lease begins at _9 a.m. on the “Check-in Date” and ends at_1 p.m. on (the “Checkout Date”. 4. Minimum Stay: This property requires a 3 night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than 3 days, the guest will be charged the 3-night rate. 5. Rental Rules: Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules attached as Exhibit A at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property. NO PETS ARE ALLOWED NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES . 6. Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the deposit will be refunded as follows: 75% if cancelled 30 days prior to the Check-in Date 100% if cancelled 60 days prior to the Check-in Date 7. Insurance: We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance 8. Payment: Acceptable payment methods are credit card and electronic deposit as listed on our VRBO listing   EXHIBIT A 1. Smoking is NOT allowed. 2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 3.The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order 5. Only use appliances for their intended uses. 6. Pets are NOT allowed. 7. Parking: Parking is limited to one vehicle to be parked in the rear of the property 2. 8.Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rates There is a washer and dryer available for use . 9. Fireplaces are not operational and no attempt to use them may be made in any event.
