Comfortable stay in a great location
Comfortable stay in a great location
My husband and I stayed in Unit 41 for a week and were very happy with the condo. It was well-furnished, comfortable, and really was "steps to the beach". It's very close to the beach hut where you can borrow beach towels and chairs. It made a great home base to explore Kauai from.

Another Wonderful Visit to Kiahuna
Another Wonderful Visit to Kiahuna
It is indeed just a short stroll ( I prefer flip flops!) to the beach. As always, the property at Kiahuna was delightful, the beach spectacular and the service at the Outrigger desk exceptional. This was my second stay in this unit. This particular unit is well maintained and well equipped featuring a wonderful shower with bench and shower head with multiple spray options. The plantation shutters are also a nice new addition since our last visit. The cooler, beach chairs, and beach umbrella are great to have for trips to the beach. The location on the second floor affords excellent ventilation and quiet without anyone above you, as well as a wonderful view out over the large lawn area. Beacuse of the landscaping, the lanai is quite private. It was a pleasure working with Steven and Susan and they seemed genuinely interested in making my stay a good one. My adventures this trip included: Stand up paddle boarding up the Wailua River ( not at all difficult), a bike ride along the new Southern extension of the bike path from Kapa'a to Lydgate park, a tour of the Coco Palms Hotel, a double rainbow over Waimea Canyon at sunset, Ke'e Beach, and Polihale Beach ( well worth the drive), as wll as several beautiful sunsets at the Kiahuna beach. Since I was without wife and children this trip ( business) I did not take advantage of the well equiped kitchen or the barbeques as we usually do. Instead I ate at several "local" places: Lihu'e Barbeque Inn, Hamura's Saimin, Duanes Ono-Char Burgers, and Rob's Good Times Grill. All provided good food and lots of Aloha. My favorite " tourist " places were Joes on the Green for breakfast, Puka Dogs, Savage Shrimp at Kukui'ula ( if you like garlic), and Halo Halo Shave Ice in Kapa'a. Thank you Steven and Susan for providing a great place to stay while visiting the Garden Island. I will return!

Owner response: We love the new shower and shutters, too! A warm Aloha and Mahalo!
We love the Kiahuna Plantation and have stayed there many times. This unit has the perfect location, just a short walk to the beach and with nice views of the beautiful grounds out the window. The unit is in great shape, with lots of personal touches not found in other units. A great choice.

Owner response: Thanks! Our location close to the beach and away from Poipu Rd. means a barefooted walk to the beach and quiet nights. In the fall of 2012, we are adding a new tiled, walk-in shower (with a corner seat and shower spray wand if you have little ones to bathe) and plantation shutters in the living room.
We had a nice stay at this condo in November 2006. It is very close to the beach and the complex has a nice beach shack that has everything you need. We also found that the owners were very friendly. They gave us lots of good information about staying on Kauai and even gave us a hint about seeing Tiger Woods play golf! We found Poipu to be a great base to see the entire island. All in all, a great place to stay. Thanks!

In 3 days we go back to Kauai to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We celebrated our 25th here and can hardly wait to get back. Kiahuna is just the best place to relax and this unit has such a beautiful view of the garden in the morning. It is also so close to the beach offering easy access to everything. We hope to return again and again...Randy and Sherry Feig

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Kiahuna is the only condominium resort located directly on Poipu Beach. No need for shoes when you walk to the beach. Our unit is truly a Paradise location that offers the privacy and security of being on the second floor and a beautiful view of Kiahuna's gorgeous grounds. Because it is located in the middle of the resort, the unit is quiet at night and does not get the noise from Poipu Rd. that units at the rear of the property do.
