Wonderful Manzanita Oregon Beach House Retreat with DSL internet access ( WiFi wireless internet access).
Nestled below majestic Neahkahnie Mountain on the north side of Manzanita, this home is a tranquil romantic retreat or family paradise vacation at any time of year.
Three bedroom, two bath beach vacation home is situated on a large lot in a beautiful setting. Large panoramic windows overlook Neah-kah-nie Mountain and meadows where the resident elk often graze. There is a nice view from every room. (the photo of the beach is not the view from the house, it is the beach you see when you walk 5-7 minutes down the street.) This location is very unique. You look outside and feel like you are in the mountains and walk 5 minutes down the street to a gorgeous beach! Downtown Manzanita is close by as well.
This Manzanita vacation home has beautiful hardwood floors, high-end linens and a fully equipped kitchen.
We took pride to provide the highest quality furnishings, linens and kitchenware. The sheets are high thread count 100% cotton, the duvet covered comforters and pillows are high-end down and the towels are plush and soft. Each room is designed very tastefully. We have children, so we decorated the twin room with them in mind. (Regatta theme) There are also books, board games and dvds for all ages, child's table and chairs and a large yard to run and play with a tree house and swing set (tire swing and climbing platform).
We love to cook (and eat) and invite you to take full advantage of our amply equipped kitchen. There is a coffee maker, toaster and microwave, waffle maker, rice cooker, roaster, grill, blender, popcorn maker...and much more. There is a deck, table and chairs in the back and a charcoal barbecue for outside grilling.
Just a short 5-7 minute walk to a spectacular beach (see photo of beach) and a one mile walk to downtown Manzanita, Oregon.
This home is a wonderful place to have a fun, relaxing family vacation or a romantic beach getaway.

We have been renting this home every summer for the past eight years and I cannot say enough good things about it. The house is located on a beautiful flat lot with a yard big enough for the kids to run around and be free. It feels like it is in the middle of a beautiful meadow, and yet, it takes only five minutes to walk to the beach. The owners take care of the home and take great pride in it. All the amenities are nice, working properly, and everything is clean and comfortable. This home is perfect for one family, or even two. My family will always consider this property our home away from home. I hope you have a chance to as well!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here during winter break. We were lucky the weather was nice. This house was so much more than we expected. The property is huge and situated in an amazing setting. Our kids enjoyed the tree house, tire swing and huge backyard. My husband worked on his laptop (fast high speed wi-fi connection), while my sister and I socialized, had our afternoon cocktails and watched the kids play. I'm wishing we were there now! The house itself is lovely. It's very tasteful and has a modern feel. You can tell that the owners take pride in their house from the high end linens to the quality cookware in the kitchen. The house is a close walk to Manzanita beach (5 minutes). We spent a lot of time at the beach but when the wind kicked up or we wanted to just relax at the house (which ended up being a lot), it was so nice to be at this vacation rental. We will be back. Definitely one of our favorites to date.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: I discovered the magic of Manzanita in 1996 when I was in Air Force flight training in Southern Oregon. On the weekends,we would take the opportunity to explore the Pacific Northwest. The most memorable was one to Manzanita. We flew into the small airstrip at Nehalem State Park (south end of Manzanita) and walked into town. Immediately I knew this town was very special. The beaches, the mountain, the sunset, the quaint town and all it had to offer were incredible. Years later, after having traveled extensively, I realized even more how amazing Manzanita is and decided it was the place I wanted to spend vacations with the family and friends... so I returned to find the perfect home for us. We found it! As with Manzanita, our home is unique and wonderful. We are happy to share it with you. It's perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway.
Why the Owner Chose Manzanita:
Our home is located only a short walk to Manzanita beach, yet its tranquil and sunny location is sheltered from the wind by Neahkahnie Mtn. It's the perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach. The kids can play in the huge backyard with the swings, tree house, kids deck...while you relax in the house or our lovely main patio deck. We have Wi-Fi throughout the house and also the deck so you can work while sitting outside amongst nature.
The town of Manzanita with its unique shops and restaurants is close. Manzanita also has an excellent 9-hole golf course.
This town is surrounded by Nehalem Bay State Park to the south, with a boat launch, horseback riding,trails for hiking and biking, and Oswald West State Park to the north, with hiking trails and a spectacular surfing beach (Short Sands Beach). The trail head of Neahkahnie Mtn is only a mile from the house with a challenging hike that rewards you with beautiful views. There are endless things to do and see: clamming, fishing, hiking, mushroom hunting (best in the fall), biking, beach combing, golfing, horseback riding, shopping, day trips to Cannon Beach, Astoria, Tillamook..or just relaxing at the beach down the street or at our wonderful house.
