February stay in South Minneapolis
February stay in South Minneapolis
My wife and I were very happy with our stay in this cottage. Although quite small, it was clean, well-maintained, and kept us warm even during a cold spell in February. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for our general comfort, though we did have to search a bit for certain items. Having spare items (small appliances, comforters, water filters, etc.) arranged in a single location to eliminate guesswork would have been helpful. The owner was very helpful and prompt in responding to our concerns, and generously provided us with information on local stores and restaurants. The description and photos in the listing were all accurate, although our stay was in February when the outside flowers were not in bloom! We would certainly recommend this cottage to others, and would consider staying here again, though perhaps in a warmer season. The relative proximity (1-2 miles) to the Mississippi River, Minnehaha Falls and Lakes Hiawatha and Nokomis was an added attraction for us, and would definitely increase the pleasure of a stay here in the spring and fall.

About the owner: I purchased this great house when I was single, as my starter home. Since then, I met my husband and though we have lived here for several years together, we have outgrown the home and are headed for a more rural lifestyle. We have put a lot of love, time and money into the house and hope you find it as comfortable as we have.
Why the Owner Chose Minneapolis:
This house is very central to the city and close to many activities sought by vacationers such as great food, shopping, biking, boating, music, theater, culture, and more.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Cushioned by a large, beautifully landscaped yard, this house is like a bit of a country cottage in the middle of the city. Located in a peaceful, residential neighborhood, it's cozy and close to just about everything the Twin Cities has to offer.
