Wow, this place rocks. A little bit for everything for the family. I was able to surf the great break right in front of the hotel while the wife and kid chilled at the pool. There was plenty of activities in the local area and great restaurants all walking distance away. The rooms were clean and ample. The staff was polite and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to post of for the week in Costa Rica then Casa Mia in Playa Hermosa near Jaco. I will be definitely be booking my next visit here again. Had a blast and look forward to my next trip already. THANK YOU CASA MIA!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great hidden gem - I just loved this place, can get there in less than 2 hours and once enjoying the sand or the pool I don't want to go back - it just feels like home. My little one loves the ocean brezze and this place could not have a better location as it is in front of the beach and to reach the sand I just need my baby's toys and walk less than a minute to have a great time playing in a very clean beach. I've been there a few times and this is definitively a recurrent spot for my family.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We are a family of 5, Nicole and Carlos, and 3 girls. We love surfing and life at the beach so divide our time between San Jose and Playa Hermosa. We have an onsite manager, Diane, that will welcome you and help with any arrangements.

We love Playa Hermosa and have a property close by on the mountain. We've been coming here to vacation for the past 10 years and buying Casa Mia and remodeling the hotel has been a project we've enjoyed with all our heart.

Taking walks on the black sand beach, the surfing, the magnificent sunsets, are a few of my favorite things about living here. From the deck chairs surrounding the pool or cooking in the outdoor kitchen, you can see, feel, and hear the ocean and enjoy the breeze. Our rooms are clean and comfortable but you will prefer to read a book under the sun umbrella with a cool drink in hand.The location is perfect for many different day trips, such as canopy tours or Manuel Antonio Park, where you can see monkeys and sloths.
