Faubourg St. John neighborhood is located at the tip of Esplanade Ridge in the heart of the city. You will be just 5 minutes by car to the French Quarter and the Marigny, 10 minutes to the Superdome, Central Business District and Warehouse District, across the street from the Fairgrounds and Jazz Fest, blocks from Bayou St. John, City Park/Voodoo Fest, New Orleans Museum of Art and walking distance to the Endymion Parade route.
Your beautifully decorated apartment is in an Arts and Crafts bungalow with a living room, dining room, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. 5 people will sleep comfortably with 1 queen bed, 1 full sleeper sofa and 1 twin bed. The apartment has an eclectic mix of historic details preserved among modern conveniences and updates including central AC, laundry facilities, cable TV and WiFi internet.
For active travelers, Bayou St. John and City Park are ideal spots for a long walks or a jog and kayak rentals are available nearby.
Other things to know about your neighborhood are there are numerous restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. within blocks. There is a bus line ½ blocks away that takes you directly to the French Quarter and Marigny and a streetcar line 4 blocks away that goes to the French Quarter and Central Business District. If you are traveling with a car, you will have free off street parking.
Children 7 years and older welcome.
Your host, who was born and raised in New Orleans, lives on site and will be happy to give you tips and advice on finding some of the city's secret attractions.

This listing was the perfect getaway for the weekend. The owner was accommodating and very helpful throughout the stay. The location was very accessible to the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. This was truly a home away from home. I will definitely be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing.

Cancellation policy:
PAYMENT SCHEDULE- 50% due at time reservation is made. Remaining 50% due 30 days prior to arrival date. Reservation is not confirmed until payment is received. CHECK-IN TIME is AFTER 3:00 P.M. CST AND CHECKOUT is 11:00 A.M. CST. No Early check-in or late checkout without previous arrangement. ***This is a NON SMOKING unit. ***No parties or events are allowed on the premises. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT – $250 refundable damage deposit is required. Additional $49 non refundable damage protection covers damage in excess of $250 and up to $1,500. The damage deposit is fully refundable within (30) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. The refund is payable by check. Credit card refunds are available, but a 5.0% charge will be deducted from the refund amount Deposit refunds are given only if: • No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. • No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. • All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in trash can, and soiled dishes are cleaned. • All keys are left on the kitchen counter and house is left locked. • All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. • No linens are lost or damaged. • NO early check-in or late checkout. • The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement. CANCELLATIONS For standard rate reservations: • 100% refund for cancellations made 30 days prior to check in. • 50% refund for cancellations made 15-30 days prior to check in. • No refund for cancellations 0-14 days prior to check in. For Special Event rate reservations: • 50% refund for cancellations 31 days prior to check in. • No refunds for cancellations within 30 days of check in. Refunds are paid by check 14 days after cancellation unless otherwise requested. 5% fee deducted for refunds given via credit card. INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen & towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate. Towels and linens may not be taken from the units. NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. RATE CHANGES – Prior to signed agreement, rates are subject to change without notice. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in. PARKING – Free parking is available for up to two (2) vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. WIFI- Free wireless internet is provided. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. While you are here, please keep in mind you will be in a residential area.
