Location: Sandpoint, Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho, USA (46 miles North of Coeur d'Alene, ID; 80 miles NE of Spokane)
Accommodations: Converted Hay Barn, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-6)
Located on a working alpaca ranch, the converted hay barn is only 11.4 miles to town. The Pack River is a sandy bottom river that flows gently. Innertubes, canoes, and kayaks are a wonderful way to enjoy the unspoiled Pack River.
If you want to experience life on an alpaca ranch, you can get as involved as you would like. You can just relax on the sleeping porch and watch the alpacas romp and play.
The 20 acres the cabin is located on also has groomed trails winding through out the property. Hike in the spring, summer, and fall. Snowshoe or cross-country ski them in the winter. Moose, deer, and an abundance of birds have been seen on the property.
Hidden Lakes Golf Course is five minutes away, Schweitzer Ski area is 15 minutes to the base of the mountain. Downtown Sandpoint and the beach with all its activities is a 15-minute drive. Silverwood Water and Amusement Park are a 30-minute drive.
The cabin is very comfortable and has hardwood floors in most areas. The loft bedroom has a queen size bed and is very spacious and a fold-away cot is available as well.
The living room has a hide-a-bed as does the sleeping porch with two over-sized chairs that fold out to twin beds.
The kitchen is spacious and the dining room table would comfortably seat six.
All renters would have access to the dock with the slide, and the firepit (let us know when you want to roast hotdogs or make s'mores and we will start a fire so it is ready for you).
The Pack River Store is a short walk and do not be surprised if you see horses tied up out front. The cowboys just needed something to drink. The store offers most amenities and has wonderful food. You can also rent videos there.
Whatever the reason and whatever the season, we hope to make your stay wonderful and unique.

I hope you will take advatage of the full amenities of this beautiful spot. The hiking trails are so peaceful and relaxing. Enjoy swimming, kayaking or just a leasurly float down the sandy bottom Pack River. If you are considering owning and raising alpacas... Here is your chance to see what a typical day is like. Or if you just want to enjoy watching them graze and play and run... it is true... why swim with a dolphin when you can hum with an alpaca. So peaceful and serene. Any special requests please let us know.
