Dominated by its early 18th Century Church, Lorgues is a medieval village which was an ancient stop-over in Roman times due to its strategic location. The village lies fifteen minutes north of the convenient N8 Autoroute linking Nice (one hour) and Aix en Provence (50 minutes).
This is a superb centre for touring. The famous beaches of the Cote D'Azur are a 40 minute drive to the south. Lorgues sits in the middle of some of the most famous vineyards in Provence and the Var, and is a short distance from many medieval villages and historic sites such as the Gorges du Verdon, which give this region its particular character and relaxing ambiance. The renowned truffle restaurant Chez Bruno is a short ten minute drive away and there are numerous gastronomic experiences and wine tasting cellars within easy reach.
The stone farmhouse is set in its own extensive grounds of 12,000 square meters off a quiet country road, only two and a half kms from the village and two kms from the nearest country supermarket. Secluded but not isolated and backing onto woodlands, the grounds offer particular privacy and include terraces with vines and olive trees.
The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two shower rooms and is arranged on two floors. The ground floor is quarry tiled and comprises an entrance hallway with WC and separate shower room, opening on to a magnificent galleried living area leading on to an outside terrace which is partially covered for outside dining and incorporating a charcoal BBQ. The provencal kitchen also leads on to the terrace and is fully-equipped for eight and includes all modern electrical conveniences. The outside terrace opens on to a pool of 12 x 6 meters. The pool area is fully-equipped with cushioned loungers/sunbeds and umbrellas.
One en suite master bedroom, with king-size bed, is located downstairs and is particularly suitable for elderly guests. Three further upstairs bedrooms, two queen and one twin, lead off from the attractive galleried landing. One of the bedrooms is enhanced by a balcony overlooking the pool and terraces. Two full bathrooms and separate WC complete the accommodation. The house and furnishings are finished to a high standard.

Owner Description
Having travelled and lived in the UK, Switzerland, South Africa and Singapore we wanted a holiday home in France and bought this house in 2000 with the intention of spending more time there in our retirement. There is so much to do in this area - we are a long way from exhausting our experiences. The grounds and pool area are so peaceful, it is a pleasure to spend time recoving by the pool.

We have "lived" here now 8 times in 10 years, and this Mas is perfect. The owners make sure it is in tip top shape at all times, and as the years pass, we keep discovering more and more, all for the delight of our spirits. There's no place like home, but this may well be as close as you'll get to having one in Provence.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Almost 5 years later still dreaming of the unbelievable time we had in Lorgues at this house.The village had the most wonderful scenery, restaurants, and we would go back to this beautiful house in a heartbeat! You will LOVE staying here!

This is a superb house which was ideally suited to accomodating our 2 families in a warm and gracious fashion. The children loved the swimming pool and grounds, while the adults were impresssed by the warm & artistic fittings and the airiness of the house. We very much enjoyed the BBQ and loggia where we enjoyed many memorable meals..... This is the standard of accomodation by which we will now judge all others.......
