  Playa Bluff Lodge is located about 8 kilometers outside Bocas town, right at pristine Bluff Beach and next to pure rainforest. Enjoy our new swimming pool and our new beach restaurant Playa Bluff Lounge. There is a kids playground with trampoline and swing. In the restaurant you will find a pool table, dartboard and lots of games. You can walk for hours on Bluff Beach without meeting other people. It is possible to view many kinds of wildlife including birds, monkeys, sloths and frogs from the lodge. In addition, the pond in our backyard garden is an optimal place to discover and view red eyed tree frogs and other frog species at night. Dont forget to bring your flashlight! 15 minutes by bike, ATV or 45 minutes walk you will find one of Bocas most beautiful snorkeling places. Playa Bluff Lodge has gear free to use. We rent ATV to explore the North East of island Colon. You can enjoy horse back riding along the beach with a native guide who shows the most beautiful places. Or participate in a jungle hike through the 23 hectare rainforest adjacent to our property. Local guides will lead visitors to a waterfall where they can see lots of wildlife. In season the ocean, which is only meters away, is very calm and nearby it is good for snorkeling and sometimes observing dolphins. In Nov/Dec/Jan/Jun/jul Playa Bluff has larger swells attracting professional surfers. Other months the ocean is very calm, crystal clear and is ready to swim. From early March until the end of June the 600 kilo leather backs and some months longer the hawks-bill turtles nest on Bluff Beach affording unique opportunities for visitors to responsibly participate in turtle viewing tours led by knowledgeable and experienced indigenous community members. 2 months after nesting we partner with the tour guides allowing visitors to observe the hatchlings finding their way to the ocean. From Bocas different tours can be chosen as Dolphin watching, snorkeling, catamaran tour, fishing, scuba diving, canopy zipline, surfing and much more....morecollapse
