Located in the Oceanside village resort, our cottage is ideal for guests as a home base whether they are traveling professionals, vacationers or are folks between homes or looking for real estate. Winter rental by the month available starting October 2013.
Our cottage is spacious...1109 square feet....And is designed with a vaulted ceiling and well placed windows to take advantage of those sunny days.
Furnished with care for our personal use and for you.....It is truly a home-away-from home. Our cottage has a fully equipped kitchen including five appliance and lots of cupboard and counter space.There is a separate dining area, eating bar, living room with fireplace, flat screen tv/dvd and access to an extra large deck where there is a BBQ and patio furniture.
Up to six people will be very comfortable in this space. There are two bedrooms (1 queen, 1 double) on the main floor along with a full bathroom (tub/shower combo). The master bedroom has its' own tv and patio doors for access to the deck.Upstairs is a loft with a queen sofa bed, tv and full bathroom with walk-in shower. Enjoy private parking in the cottage driveway.
A few steps away is a covered 23' by 50' swimming pool and hot tub, fitness room equipped with a cross-trainer and treadmills, sushi cafe, salon and day spa, the lagoon adventure mini-golf and trails for walking, running and biking.
A bit further by a few minutes away is Rathtrevor Provincial park with an endless compact sandy beach where shallow water and beach activities are hard to resist. Visitors can explore the beach for hours or travel mountain bike trails in the nearby forest. The nearby city of parks ville boasts a shopping district, restaurants, specialty stores and the beautiful community park where sports and beach activities take place all year. Visitors can also enjoy fishing trips, water excursions, tour art galleries, wineries and cheese factories.
Then within and hour or two, north, south, east and west of this central island location, you will find airports in either Nanaimo or Comox and BC Ferry terminals in Nanaimo and Victoria. Experience the rugged and beautiful west coast in the Pacific Rim National park, Tofino and Ucluelet:enjoy exploring beaches and forest trails, surfing, kayaking, whale watching,hot springs, storm watching and check out all that the villages have to offer:cafe's, restaurants, food wagons, galleries and shopping. Take in golfing, ride a zip line, go (or watch) bungy jumping, explore fish hatcheries, access the trans canada trail, check out historical centers, enjoy summer and winter activities at the Mount Washington ski resort or see world famous murals and attend live dinner/theater in nearby Chemainus. Then there is Coombs where you probably will see 'goats on the roof' of a sprawling food market. Bird watch at numerous locations and take in the annual brandt wildlife festival. Explore the areas' beautiful lake and river parks such as cameron lake, sproat lake and the huge water bombers, Englishman River Falls Provincial Park and Horne Lake Regional Park. Sample activities like hiking, tubing, and swimming and take tours to find ancient fossils, crystal formations and a seven-story underground waterfall.

Great Place to stay
This was a very comfortable rental. Great for a winter holiday getaway. It was well equipped for cooking, the beds were comfortable and everything was good quality. The owner was very accommodating, flexible, and easy to deal with. I hope to stay there again.
