Charming, very well appointed, recently remodeled three bedroom, two bath home situated on a beautiful lagoon. Expansive view of Mount Tam from the living room, bedroom, kitchen, stone patio, or from the expansive dock which overhangs the water. The garden is beautiful, the home is very warm and cozy, and every single guest has absolutely loved it.
The brand new kitchen has granite counters, Wolf range, Sub Zero fridge, Miele convection/microwave oven, Miele dishwasher, wine cooler, two sinks, and hanging pot rack. The kitchen is well lit with three large windows and a full length glass door to take you to the outside table under the pergola. Outside dining is well lit with charming lights hanging above for evening use. There is also a large Big Green Egg charcoal barbeque (warning: if you use it you will want to buy one). The dock, about seventy-five feet by fourteen feet and over the lagoon, is also well lit for your nighttime pleasure. It has very high end teak furniture that seats about eight to ten people.
All rooms are high end with new crown molding and floor trim. There are new hardwood floors throughout the house in a dark stain. The new stone fireplace is gas, and custom mantle and wood panels above match the custom hood in the kitchen. Both bathrooms have just been remodeled with stone heated floors, high end fixtures, and great lighting. The master bath has an overhead rain shower where you may want to stay the entire visit.
The living room has an oversized, extremely comfortable couch, as well as two high end cozy chairs and matching ottomans. Big double sliding glass doors overlook Mt. Tam, the lagoon, gardens, and back yard. The area between the kitchen, dining room and living room is all open and welcoming.
The master bedroom has a queen sleigh bed, flat screen TV, surround sound, and its own high end bathroom. The master views are also to Mt. Tam, gardens and back yard. Both of the additional bedrooms have single beds, desks and chairs. One of the bedrooms has a trundle bed under the single bed.
The house is on a quiet residential street, yet only a three block walk to Town Center Mall just off 101. On the other side of 101 is The Village Shopping Mall, so between the two of them all shopping everything is available, including many great restaurants, Neiman Marcus, Apple Store, spa, gym, Starbucks, etc. A half block away is the paved bike and walking trail which takes you to just anywhere in Marin, including the large and expansive Corte Madera Park which is three blocks away.
San Francisco is fifteen minutes away and great viewing of the America’s Cup races are even closer. Muir Woods is about twenty minutes, Stinson Beach and Sonoma about forty minutes, Napa fifty minutes, Tahoe about three hours, and Yosemite about four hours. Yes, we love living here and you are welcome to share it.

My family spent a week at this wonderful house. It was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 children). The inside of the house has everything you need and more - high end appliances, heated bathroom floors, etc. The yard and the waterfront views were amazing. Our kids and their friends were free to run and play and the adults could relax thanks to the secure fence around the perimeter of the water. The owner even keeps food to feed the ducks - it was a daily highlight for us! In addition, the house is very close to parks and the Corte Madera mall (Starbucks, Safeway, farmers market, restaurants and more). I highly recommend this house!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home felt like home. There is no spared attention to comfort or detail. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need and more! Our teenage children put down their electronics and fed ducks (they really come right up to the dock), canoed on the lagoon and we went on many adventures on the trails in the area. Markets and eateries are within walking distance as well. You will LOVE the heated bathroom floors! The beds are all very cozy! The backyard is everything the pictures display; Truly picture perfect! The ferry terminal is very close and an easy ride into San Fran. The owner was extremely helpful with info about the area and receptive and timely responding to any questions we had about the home too. The property was spotless! I highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: Single dad with a 10 and 12 year old. This is not a vacation rental, but our cherished home. We rent it out to fund our own surfing and skiing travel adventures. You would walk into our world, with our stuff, and we hope you enjoy it as much as us.
Why the Owner Chose Corte Madera:
This place has a ton of charm. Ceiling trim and baseboard throughout, solid wood doors with glass handles, incredible stereo sound, gorgeous stone fireplace, remodeled everything, all high end stuff. The garden and trees rock, and the views are awesome.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have a canoe, row boat and three Stand Up Paddle boards to tour the lagoon, and an outdoor shower for your convenience. If you are a BBQ person, you will love the Big Green Egg outside (we cook most of our meals on it). The back yard has awesome lighting over the lawn, garden, patio and dock. Accent lighting at night highlights the garden. Enjoy!
