A truly unique and beautiful estate on the southwest tip of Kent Island, in the middle of Chesapeake Bay. The summer of 2013 is the first time this amazing property has ever been available as a vacation rental. It has 600 feet of private shoreline and a sandy beach. Breath-taking Bay views go all the way to the southern horizon, and for several miles to the east and west. A six story light house is only a mile offshore, directly in front of the house.
The Point of It All was designed as a private resort for family and friends, with something for everyone. Enjoy the sweeping views of the Bay from all main rooms on the 1st floor and 2nd floor, and full Bay views from 5 bedrooms and the guest apartment.
Watch the ships go by, or the kids in the pool, from a wrap around 1st floor deck, four balconies on the 2nd floor, two screen porches on the first floor, or a chaise lounge by the pool. Stroll through large shade trees and lawns overlooking the Bay.
Enjoy the beach, pool, water slide, heated spa with jets, basketball court, and dock. Read, tan or relax above the waves on three comfortable benches on the dock, or by the pool or on the beach. Two stone jetties attract fish year round, so good fishing is an easy cast from shore. Catch your own crabs for dinner using traps on the dock.
During summer the prevailing breezes are from the south and southwest, sending cooler air from the Bay toward the house. The Bay side of the house faces southwest, toward the light house and ship channel, and taking full advantage of the amazing views.
A stacked stone wood-burning FP, large flat screen TV, entertainment center and piano are in the living area. Three more gas FPs are in Bedroom 1 (Master), the Study, and Bedroom 6 (Guest Apartment/Game Room).
Bedroom 1 (Master) has a king. BRs 2,3,4 have Queens. BR 5 has two single bunks. BR 6 (Guest Apartment/Game Room) has a Queen pull-out couch plus a double bunk down with a single bunk up. All bedrooms and the Guest Apartment have TVs.
There are 6 full baths. The Master Bath has a steam shower and a Bay view soaking tub with air jets.
Adjacent to the wrap-around Bay front deck is a large pool with large heated spa, diving board and water slide. There is a private sandy beach and dock with a boat lift, two jet ski lifts and davits, so you can bring your boat and jet skis. A swing-set and elevated Play House are attached to a huge maple tree. There is an enclosed outdoor shower, gas grill, very large 2-car garage, and basketball court.
Cable TV and internet are provided. Weekly maid service, lawn service and pool service are provided. Located on a very private point at the southwest tip of Kent Island -- yet very close to quaint and historic Annapolis, and an easy drive to Washington D.C. or Baltimore.
Please note this property cannot be used for parties, weddings, rehearsal dinners, or other large gatherings or events -- inside or outside the house. Pets and smoking are prohibited.

These rates may change May 23, 2014. Preferred minimum stay in Peak Summer season is 14 nights. 7 night stay may be available during Peak Summer season. Weekend stays OK during Early Fall and Fall/Winter/Spring seasons for $850/night with a 3 night minimum if dates do NOT include a major holiday, and $925/night if dates do include a major holiday. No weddings or other events. No Pets. No Smoking.
Signed contract and deposit equal to 50% of total amount due is required to hold dates. Remaining 50% plus $2500 Damage Deposit is due 45 days before arrival date.
