I have actually had the great pleasure of Staying at "Papa's Retreat" on several occasions. The views and solitude are what keep me coming back. The cabin's decks provide a near 360 panorama of the mountains, creek, and the amazing stars at night! Whether you want to hike, fish, hunt, ski, or just lounge by a warm fire, "Papa's Retreat" has it all. The accommodations are top notch and provide an authentic high country experience. The cabin has a rustic charm, but hardly lacks sophistication. I have traveled all around the world and stayed in a variety of accommodations. By far "Papa's Retreat" has consistently provided me with the greatest sense of "home" and "style." It is obvious the owner's have a eye for detail and taken time to make sure their guest are comfortable year round. The layout of the cabin is awesome for entertaining with family, but still provides one with with space to "get away." The cabin is definitely a "must see" in the winter months. Have enjoyed many a night in front of the fire. An experienced to be shared for sure. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas. The beauty of "Papa's Retreat" is that it allows you to be as active or relaxed as you want. Whether it's taking a drive to the "City" to take in a concert, walking down to fly fish in your private backyard stream, hiking the many trails surrounding the cabin, or reading a book with your morning coffee on the deck and the burbling stream below, it cannot say enough how awesome a get away "Papa's Retreat" can be. It will make you want to come back and stay again and again. It truly is a slice of heaven in God's country.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
