Our Beach Front Home on Grace Bay

This is a TRUE OCEANFRONT suite. We are on the third floor of the Alexandra Resort’s Lady Rose building and the panoramic view from our porch takes in the full beauty and glamour of Grace Bay. Less than fifty feet of natural dune and lawn separate the front of our building from the magnificent sands of the beach.
World-famous Grace Bay has been heralded in innumerable articles and magazines as one of, and arguably, the best beach in the world. Remarkably clear, warm turquoise waters and soft, pure white sand combine to lift and calm the traveler’s spirit. On a gentle slope, the sand continues into the water further than you can walk inviting you to play and bounce on the sandy bottom. The beach is well-guarded by a distant reef, keeping the ocean breakers at bay. On the expansive beach in front of our place, whole days can spent in the ardent pursuit of absolutely nothing but peace and solitude in the sun.
We purchased our condominium as the building was under construction and essentially combined two adjacent units into one spacious home. The two bedrooms are large and luxurious, with their own bathrooms and separate porches, although the main porch extends across the entire front, offering ample space for residents and guest alike. From the beginning, it was our intent to create a sumptuous retreat filled with custom touches. Our home-away-from home was never intended to be a part of the rental pool and we opted to furnish our place exclusively with fine custom furniture, draperies, bedding and electronics.
The kitchen is a culinary artist’s delight, featuring granite countertops, Italian cabinets, all stainless appliances, two refrigerators, two microwaves, a convection oven, all the usual small appliances and then some, and a plethora of chef’s tools. Beautiful everyday and special occasion china, as well as cutlery, glasses and goblets, pitchers, carafes and all the rest fill every cupboard and nook.
Dining areas feature custom stools at the kitchen bar or seating for all at the beautiful solid pecan table with matching chairs. A custom chandelier illuminates the feast. After dinner, you may relax in custom matching sofas or tastefully complimentary side chairs in front of the large flat screen TV (one of three in the unit). We have games, puzzles, DVDs, CDs, a carefully chosen library, or make your way out to the porch, again fitted with custom deck furniture and artwork. And it’s equipped for lovely sunrise/sunset Al fresco dining.
Should you choose to dine out; the Alexandra’s own Mango Reef is close and very good. From there, the choices are nearly endless. Immediately to the right and left of the Alexandra are five-star resorts with heavenly restaurants. Delightful island fare, infinity bars and truly world-class dining.
It's all a short flight away. From 8 North American cities, the flights are nonstop. Turks and Caicos is perhaps the easiest Caribbean island to reach from the U.S., Canada and England. The Alexandra is a short ten-fifteen minute taxi ride from the airport.
