  It was my second stay in three years (and I simply couldn´t come back last year to stay at the Finnich cottages because the location was sold out at that time). And of course: I will be back next year (fingers crossed).... It is a truely beautiful place to stretch your legs. The cottages are fully equipped and even if you feel that something might be missing you can always ask the owners. They are very helpful and charming. The surroundings are gorgeous (with the stunning views, the wonderful gardens, etc.). I recommended the place to many of my friends already and to every reader of these lines: please visit.

  Oak Cottage surpassed expectations. It was very well equipped and finished to a high standard. We loved all the art work. The setting was fantastic - very tranquil and lots of birdsong. The terrace was a bonus and the culinary herbs a nice touch.There was lots to do in the surrounding area and we went for lots of great walks with the dogs.We would definitely visit again and will recommend Finnich Cottages to others.   A warm welcome by the owners of this beautiful property was a great start to our short break, which Marguerite arranged for my wife and I at very short notice. The website although accurate in all respects did not do justice to actually being there and experiencing what the property and surrounding area had to offer. A must for travellers regardless of mode of transport as there is so much to see and do. The information pack is extremely informative and sets the scene for planning activities or just exploring on your own. We would certainly recommend Finnich cottages to family and friends as the saying goes "What you see is what you get, amd more!" Looking forward to a return visit.

  The facilities are 1st class, the cottage is everything you could possibly want and Andrew and marguerite are exceptionally helpful & caring for thier guests. We have toured Loch Lomond, the Trossacks and beyond. We would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to all our family and friends.

  Rowan cottag is a perfect mixture of traditional architecture and modern way of life.We love it much. There is nothing to be found faulty. Luxury,cleanliness, flushed of light,surrounded by a magnificent landscape, friendly hosts... great! We regret not to have booked Rowan cottage for more than three days, but we surely will come back.

  Our recent holiday in the Loch Lomond area was made complete by the excellent accomodation in the beautiful Rowan cottage. The cottage was equipped to the highest standard. It was modern, clean and exceptionally comfortable. The setting was idylic and very central for touring the surrounding areas. For those who wish to eat in, supplies were easily accessible and for those who prefer to be treated, nearby Drymen was a haven of fine eateries. Marguerite and Andrew could not have been more welcoming and helpful. It truly was a home from home. Frances and Alan, Shetland

  My wife and I along with our small dog spent a very enjoyable week at Rowan Cottage, facilities were first class as was the quality of the interior and layout of the cottage. The courtyard setting added an extra dimension of space in which to enjoy the morning sun and the clear evening skies. The surrounding land provided woodland walks, field and mountain views and glimpses of deer, hares, rabbits and squirrels along with a large variety of birds. We found the location to be ideal for visiting nearby Loch Lomond`s east and west side towns and many attractions eg ; Balloch, Luss, Callender, etc. Andrew and Marguerite made us feel very welcome and were most helpful with suggestions regarding places to visit and dine locally. Our only reluctance in writing this review is that too many people will discover this holiday haven as we hope to return many times.

  Wir waren vom 07.05. - 16.05.2012 in der Rowan Cottage. Ehrlich gesagt fehlen uns heute noch die Worte von dieser traumhaften Wohnung und der Finnich Cottage Anlage. Hier erlebt man eine sehr idyllische ruhige Lage, lebt mitten in der Natur und hat bei schönem Wetter einen traumhaften Ausblick auf die Highlands. Auch die Schafe die gerne mal nahe des Gebäudes hausen haben wir ins Herz geschlossen. Das "määhen" ist aber in keinster Weise nervig. Da wir nahe des Frankfurter Flughafens wohnen, war das morgendliche "määhen" mehr ein freudiger Genuss. Aber zurück zur Wohnung, man merkt das man hier großen Wert auf hohe Qulität gelegt hat, die Küche sowie auch die restliche Möblierung machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck und auch vom optischen passt alles zum schottischen Charme dieser Region. Selbst auf unseren Kreuzfahrten haben wir nicht so schön und gemütlich unseren Urlaub genossen wie im Finnich Cottage. Im LCD-Fernseher ist ein DVD-Player integiert der auch deutsche DVD's abspielt, für den Fall das man mal einen ruhigen Tag verbringen möchte. Deutsche Programme konnte man keine Empfangen, aber gut die wichtigesten News aus aller Welt kann man auch auf BBC schauen. Das Bett war super bequem und gemütlich, selbst auf unserem Lieblingskreuzfahrtschiff " Jewel of the Seas" haben wir nicht so gut geschlafen. Hätten das Bett am liebsten mitgenommen zusammen mit einem Schaf ;-) Dazu ist die Lage sowohl zum Einkaufen, Essen gehen oder eben Schottland erleben ideal. Stirling, Edinburgh oder Glasgow sind relativ leicht und schnell erreichbar. Glen Coe oder Loch Ness kann man auch bequem als Tagesfahrten vom Finnich Cottage einplanen und erlebt bei der Fahrt die traumhafte Landschaft von Schottland. Für Whisky Freunde ist die "Glengoye Distillery " nur etwa 4-5 km entfernt. Aber auch zu den Speyside Brennereien sind es etwa 3 Std. Autofahrt. In der Wohnung liegt ein Info Ordner wo alle wichtigen Infos enthalten sind und alles recht leicht zu finden ist. Schottland ist ein Traum und Rowan Cottage war für uns ein schöner Teil dieses traumhaften Urlaubs. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können Finnich Cottages jedem empfehlen.
