This house was really fantastic. I can't say enough about how great it was to have both the pool and the beach right outside your door. The beach was all ours...we literally saw a couple people walk by the house in the whole week we were there. I should say that there are houses on either side of the property however. But during our stay, I don't think the residents of the neighboring houses were in town, so I image if they were, you might see a few more people on the beach. But if you are on the deck, there is still about 95% privacy due to the trees between the houses and the raised deck which offers you good privacy from any passerby's on the beach. The north side of the island is definitely the way to go if you are looking for peace and quiet. The house was in really great shape, very clean, and well put together. We absolutely loved all the beautiful bright colors. Karen, the owner, was also a pleasure to deal with. Very nice, prompt and professional. We basically sat by the pool and beach all day, then went to dinner at the local restaurants at night. We also hit Georgetown and 7MB for one of our days, and that was enough. A car rental is a must, as the house is about 45min from the airport. You can rent a car right at the airport and be on your way in no time. Super easy. I recommend this house 100%. I also recommend Cayman 100%. You get a real Caribbean Island experience, but with the safety and services of the mainland. The locals are a mix of islanders and international people who have moved there. A great mix of generally friendly people. Cant wait to return!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: What a wonderful review Joe! Thank you for taking the time to write this. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the house so much and the Island of Grand Cayman as a whole. This is a great compliment coming from someone who resides in beautiful Venice, California. I have to say that on our many trips to the island with friends and family I too have felt compelled to take our guests to Seven Mile Beach. Time and time again our guests are anxious to get back to the serenity of the North Shore. It's hard to find a Caribbean setting that provides you with the modern conveniences of home but also gorgeous turquoise waters and white sandy beaches in a peaceful, private setting. I'm so glad that you and your family enjoyed it as much as we do. It was a pleasure working with you as well. Come back again soon!

This house was everything we wanted and more! The house and yard itself are too cute. The pictures don't do it justice- you have to see it in person! We arrived to find the house all ready for us- immaculately clean, comfortable bedding and linens, beach towels at the ready! The kitchen has everything you need- and I mean everything! We ate dinner in twice bar-b-queing out on the sand. Pretty much every morning we had our coffee on the pool deck and watched the sun rise. We ate several lunches at home on the big picnic table on the deck. At the end of the day it was perfect to float around in the pool with our rum drinks at the ready! We all felt that the house is in a perfect location- the North Bay area. We snorkeled at several beaches and kept coming back to our own reef. All kinds of fish are right out your back door. The house comes with all kinds of snorkel equipment. My husband forgot his mask- no worries- there are at least 10 masks to choose from- all stored in the garage. There are also several pairs of water shoes- perfect for walking and exploring the shore line. We spent some time in Georgetown and Seven Mile Beach- but said time and again we would not ever stay there- too crowded! The house information booklet was also right on. We ate at almost every restaurant listed (yes gained about 3 lbs!) and had wonderful meals each time. In closing many, many thanks to Trish and Karen for making this most perfect vacation a reality for us! Your house is beautiful and we hope to stay there again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your review Kathy. I agree with you and truly appreciate the peacefullness of The North Shore. And I love that there's easy access to great dining without the hustle and bustle of downtown. The Lighthouse, Tukka, and Kaibo are all favorites of mine. We're so glad you had such a great time and hope you'll come back again soon!

We are a family of five who stayed at The Pink Beach House for our spring break in 2013. For starters, communication with the owners was very easy and they responded pleasantly to my questions right away. The listing on VRBO was mostly accurate, but there were 2 things I was delighted to discover that weren't listed: Wi-Fi and a coffee bean grinder. They also have a pretty big selection of DVDs with some nice surprises, which I won't spoil. The photos, while accurate, do not convey the breezy, Caribbean charm of the place. The conch-shell pink of the exterior just works. The inside of the house is really quite relaxing and enjoyable in its own right. One of the owners has hung some of her own original artwork on the walls, which I thought was a very cool touch. The charm extends to the well-maintained pool situated in the expansive deck. The charm is stops here and is replaced by the sheer awesomeness of the private beach, hammock, and truly remarkable water and Cayman reef snorkeling. You have to see this to believe it. We saw sting rays, a manta, puffer fish, lion fish, and all manner of aquatic cutie-pies within 50 yards of "our" beach. As far as nearby attractions go: Rum Point is fun if you want to be around some more people. There is some decent snorkeling to the right of the pier. Red Sail at Rum Point has a pretty good Sting Ray City trip. If you are there during the busy season, call ahead and get reservations. Actually, you should do that for most restaurants as well. We did a lot of take-out, because after a day on the beach, we didn't feel much like going out, so I would order some food from Rum Point or the Light House and we'd have a family supper at the table and then watch a movie and eat popcorn. We did go out one night to Tukka on the East End and that was pretty darn good. Basically, we wanted a quiet, beautiful place on the beach with a pool and proximity to some good restaurants. The Pink Beach House was just perfect for this. If you are more into Hard Rock Cafe, Grand Cayman, this may not be your spot. Would I recommend this to a friend or a relative? Absolutely! We are definitely going back to Grand Cayman and staying at The Pink Beach HouseRecommended for: Families with young children.
Owner response: Hi Ted, WOW, what an awesome review! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with potential guests of The Pink Beach House. It's so much fun knowing that families such as yours are having an amazing time and creating wonderful memories at our home in Cayman. I'm so glad that you took advantage of the snorkeling, which for decades has provided Grand Cayman with huge bragging rights. The reef in front of the house is such a treasure and I have a great appreciation for the white sandy areas that lead right out to it, making it so accessable. Thank you for your compliments on the home decor and cayman cottage colors. We had a lot of help from local tradesmen, my sister Trish Schiele, and Patrick Reid O'Brien(World Famous Ocean Gallery Artist of the Year). Please tell Robin that we appreciate her contributions to our sea fan and shell collection. I hope you were able to take a few home with you as well. It's been so much fun working with you and getting to know you and your family. I'm delighted you'll be returning to The Pink Beach House again next year. Best Regards, Karen

Just spent an amazing weekend with girlfriends at the Pink Beach House. This house is a little slice of heaven. There was plenty of room for all of us to enjoy time together and still have some privacy (if needed). The house decor is lovely and has every amenity you will need. Some great restaurants were a quick drive away if we didn't feel like cooking. At the same time, the kitchen was perfect for entertaining and well stocked. We would spend a lazy morning by the pool or walking the beach. We also loved the beach at Rum Point which was a quick car ride away. The girls are already talking about our visit next year! This trip was perfection.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Jenn, thankyou for sharing your experience at The Pink Beach House. I'm glad you found it to be so relaxing and perfect for a girl's getaway. The North Shore/Rum Point area is just one of my favorite places on the island. It's nice to be at a private island home away from the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile Beach and Georgetown yet close to great restaurants, bars, local attractions, excursion destinations, resort shopping, etc. I hope you'll come back again next year. You must come stay at the Pink Beach House! A lovely house that is beautifully decorated! Warm and welcoming. The house is located minutes from many wonderful island spots you will want to frequent like Star Fish Beach and Rum Point. Right on the beach with a pool just steps away. Be forewarned, if you come visit you will want to extend your stay! Enjoy!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Gretchen, Thanks so much for your review. I frequently forget to remind guests to visit Starfish Beach which is such a short drive from the house and one of the islands most memorable destinations. They should also plan an excursion to Stingray City with Captain John Michael. He is not at all afraid to wrestle up a stingray or two to hold and feed and he is a terrific Cayman Island historian. What a blast! Hope you'll return again soon and with your family in tow next time. Karen

My family recently spent a week at The Pink Beach house. From the moment we pulled up to this house, we knew we were in for a amazing and relaxing vacation. Love the Caribbean colors and brightness! Absolutely beautiful, clean, and well-maintained home located right on the beach. The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We spent each day either lounging by the pool on the large patio out back or walking the beach. Although there is some sea grass in the shallow parts, the water is great for snorkeling and exploring! At night, we had a great time playing games at the house, or heading over to Kaibo Beach Club. We went to Rum Point a few times (just a short drive) and a had a some AMAZING drinks with that crowd. The owners were very easy to work with and promptly answered all of our questions prior to and during our stay. I would highly recommend this house for a family or friends getaway!! Great fun! We will be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Leslie, I'm so happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay at The Pink Beach House. It's great that you were able to take advantage of the snorkeling right out in front of the house and enjoy the amenities at Rum Point. I hope you were able to have one or two of Rum Point's famous Mudslides. I'm also glad I could assist you during your stay in making your vacation as memorable as possible. Hurry back again very, very soon! Best Regards, Karen

thank you for an amazing holiday in what was not just a house but a 'home' for the week. we have never stayed in a place so well resourced: books, kitchen equipment, bedding, pool furniture and the simple basics like the loo rolls, soap and bin bags make a big difference on arrival. it was immaculate inside and out and spotlessly clean. the owners also supplied a very clear manual on how everything worked anad places they recommend to eat/visit. we had a party of 3 adults and two kids and had a stack of room. we have a 5 and 3 year old and they were safe with all furniture having smooth corners (parents of young kids will be with me on this). the cottage is also perfectly located on the north of the island where you can experience paradise without having to compete for space with the cruise ship passengers who dock in georgetown (mainly mon thru fri). the weekends are lovely as the cruises have gone and the island has a lovely local feel. a good time to book excursions too. the holiday of a lifetime in the perfect cottage.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Dan, Thank you so much for your review. I'm so glad you found The Pink Beach House to be a perfect place to stay while vacationing on Grand Cayman with your family. I hope you'll come back again soon. Best Regards, Karen

We had 2 adult couples stay at the pink beach house for a week. The house was in great condition, newly painted and very clean, and had all the amenities needed, including snorkel equipment which we used in the ocean right out the back door! The beach isn't great for swimming but if you like a quiet beach to lay in a hammock and relax it's perfect. There is some snorkeling that can be done right there in your backyard. And when you get hot and want to cool off your own private pool is unbeatable. The house IS on the quiet side of the island and renting a car is necessary because few taxis travel out there. It takes 45min to get to the 7 mile beach area but only 5 min to drive to Rum Point where there is a nice public beach with activities and food. There is a restaurant at Rum Point which is on the pricer side and a beach bar at Kaibo which is reasonably priced, has good food/drinks, and an all you can eat BBQ on the beach on Tuesdays. Overall we had a wonderful vacation staying at the Pink Beach house and if you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing, private get away look no further.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Laura, I'm so glad you loved the serenity of The Pink Beach House and were also able to take advantage of the amenities at Rum Point and Kaibo as well. The Tuesday night all you can eat BBQ at the Kaibo Yacht Club is a must. I hope you were able to enjoy one of their famous mudslides or fresh Mahi Mahi ceasar wraps. The water is getting calmer around the island this time of year and fishing is very good from the reef in front of the house these days. I'm so glad the four of you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your review and please come again. Best Regards, Karen

Pink Beach was highly recommended to us by friends who vacationed here last summer. It was everything and much much more than we were told. First of all the new owners have repainted inside and out and landscaped with more hibiscus than I have ever seen. This is a real island treasure. The house was painted with beautiful caribbean colors and decorated with colorful artwork and furnishings. They generously spared no expense. We stayed for a week,my husband and I and our 4 children. It was our own personal island home. We went to Starfish Point, snorkeling and swimming at Rum Point and enjoyed a day trip Stingray City. At night we walked our beach and swam in the pool under the stars. It was a great and truly priceless vacation!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Suzanne, Thank you for your review and I am so happy you and your family enjoyed the house. I'm glad you were able to take advantage of Rum Point and all of the fun things you're able to do there. I enjoyed working with you and I hope you'll come back again to stay at The Pink Beach House. We loved Pink Beach! It is the most lovely Pink Villa on the north side of the island on Rum Point Drive. We absolutely loved having a private pool and beach. We spent many days lying in the hammock under the palm trees and enjoying the caribbean breeze. The home was appointed well and decorated with beautiful paintings and truly comfortable island decor and furnishings. You can see the ocean from every room in the house. It was paradise for us which made it especially hard to return home. What a lovely stay!!! Thank you so very much!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
